Sorry about that.

As for needing to refresh when you use the back button, my recommendation is to use the navigation bar right below the members bar at the top. Right below where it says "Logged in as: zipper" there are several links that tell you where you are. Just click on the area you want to go ...etc. back one step or all the way back to ZipsNation.Org. This way, you'll see the updated forums without needing constant refresh. I think perhaps that may help your problem.

Related to the buttons .. I do think they could be lightened up. I have a zip file with all existing button images, along with the blank buttons. Can I drop that on you to generate buttons with brighter text? I like the background color, but I do agree the text is somewhat faint.

Going back just gives you a blank page? What happens before you hit refresh?
Most browsers won't tell you there are new posts unless you hit the refresh, it just takes you back to the image you had before. You can click on the logo at the top to go back to the main board .. does that behave differently?
Have you been over to macBBS? Same issue there?

CK, you know I've been firmly in the DHip camp for years now .. .and sadly, I can say that it would be a pretty difficult case to make for bringing him back. A huge run in some tournies this year is probably all that can save him now.
Time to move on because .....

I'm not expecting great things next year with the tougher schedule we have. Miami, Northern Illinois, Marshall, and Virginia are guaranteed losses. UCF, Penn State, and Can't State (if Cribbs is back) will all be tough ones.
Well it took about 2 months .. but we're already mailing in the season?!!
I personally expect this team to be better than last season .. not worse.
Let me have a sip from that half full bottle of CK's home brew.

It occurs to me that we haven't seen or heard from Z.I.P. in a bit. Anyone know how to reach out to him? .. there was some concern that webTV might pose some problems with the site. He mentioned that if registration were required he might have issues. I don't have the ability to check that out.
Z.I.P. if you're lurking give a shout on here or dreamwater with an update.

Can't State Asks For 1,000 Diplomas To Be Returned
Misspelling Appears On Document
Can't, Ohio -- Can't State University has asked more than 1,000 graduates to return their diploma if the word "privileges" is misspelled.
"I certainly don't want a Can't State diploma hanging on someone's wall with a misspelling," registrar Roberta Sikula said.
She said some diplomas were mailed to graduates with "privileges" appearing as "privilieges" in the phrase "all the rights, and privileges and honors pertaining thereto."
Sikula didn't know how many diplomas had the typo or what caused it. She sent letters to students who graduated in December offering to exchange diplomas with misspellings for edited versions.
Graduates can write VOID across their diploma and mail it to the registrar. The university wants the originals to avoid fraudulent use.
Can't State began using new software in August to produce diplomas.
Sikula said an employee might have inserted the misspelling while changing the wording on diplomas for the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, of which Can't State is a part.

Flood control is now off .. took me a while to find it. That should eliminate the problem.
Is anyone else getting funny clock behavior on the board (my swtiches sometimes between GMT & EST .. and then back again .. wierd).
As for redirects .. I don't know how to do that .. and I'm not sure we have the ability to do that at Dreamwater. My thought was to take down the banners I have up there and just put an explanation and a link to this site .. leave that there for a while and then try to kill the board all together in a month.

Are you referring to the charcoal grey / blackish main background?
That can be lighter .. CK suggested maybe some UA gold .. I'll try that. Maybe a light gray like over at MacBBS .. but I don't want necessarily to look like that site.

I think we can all agree that MT & co. have brought a winning attitude to the department that hasn't always been there. In order to be big time .. you need to look & act like you belong in the big time. So they've really done well to improve the marketed image of UA & the Zips. No question in my mind that the production value of the hoops & football games has moved WAYYY upstream.
This is something that's been bugging me since I opened my ticket package back in November. There's something that we might not want to repeat again. Anyone who has one of those ticket books .. take a look at the photo and see if something catches your eye.
On the front of the book is an image of a pretty full JAR with a Zip (Tarver) at the line .. nice picture .. new floor .. etc.
The problem I have is that the scoreboard is visible ... and the Zips are losing big at the start of the second half to a big rival!! Surely, we could have put the Akron basketball logo a little more north on the page to obscure our struggles in that game?
Anyone else notice this?
Small faux pas .. but sometimes it's the little things that separate you from the crowd one way or another.
