Thanks to everyone for posting recruiting info over the past few months-- great stuff! What is everyone's net take on the class? It got rated number 1 by scouts and rival, right? (3rd straight year for that?) Are we feeling good about the class?

This is horrible-- and just stupid. It's the kind of short-sighted thinking that has hamstrung NEOhio. The idea that this soccer stadium could get built is just beyond comprehension. OF COURSE is it going to negatively impact UA's stadium. What a missed opportunity this is-- is there no leadership in Summit County? UA is one of the only real assets the area has-- why is no one clamoring to invest in it and its future. So stupid.

Cant has over 300 yds of offense to UA's 122. They are dominating all aspects of the game. The only good thing you can say about this so far is that we have gotten lucky-- it could be worse.This game is going to tell the tale on JD-- if he gets everyone's head in the game and gets them ready to play, he keeps his growing reputation intact. If not, this is a serious hit because we just look awful, awful, awful. My fear is that I have yet to see that happen-- for some reason, the team doesn't seem to get serious until the 4th quarter but that won't cut it in this one.The timing of this couldnt be worse--this is going to make the stadium that much harder.

Very instructive.Akron can win the MAC every year straight for a decade and still only be attracting 20,000 fans per game. NEO is an NFL market with extraordinarily tight ties to Ohio State (inexplicable to me, particularly with the benefit of not living in the market now).Given the market dynamics, I think Akron needs to do more than consistently beating teams that no one really cares about and that have no BCS context. Does anyone disagree with the notion that Akron can absolutely dominate the MAC and still not consistently sell-out the Rubber Bowl? To get to a fan base that supports an average of 40K per game (which is about what Louisville is at now and is probably about where we would need to be go generate the funds required to be a mid-major that consistently has a shot of being top 20 and in great years BCS eligible), we need to be playing and beating BCS schools at home consistently. I just think that it is the reality of the market that a scalable base of fans will not be generated by owning the MAC.

Wow is that a depressingly uninspiring concept. This needs to change radically to capture anyone's imagination. It is totally like the JAR right now. I am SHOCKED Proenza would let this go down this path.
