ohio u is just tired of being akron's bitch. they do our laundry, clean the house and bend over for us twice a year in basketball and once a year in football. who gives a piss if they get a recruit or two? does anyone really think that frank the tank can out-recruit JD? they get out leftovers. quit crying about a #5 wide out or two that goes to ohio instead of akron. just wait until next fall to see what we have. forget about it. :macc:

i was gieven access to over 250 tickets to pass out. seems like there was much interest in the zips. most everyone i asked if they wanted tickets knew the zips were doing well and were excited to get free tickets. many even asked for more the next day. we'll see how many actually use them. fear the roo!

i think the uni's ar great but i did love the thanksgiving day jersey and helmet. we ought to keep those for special games. too bad they were sold off.......zippy is zippy. that is something that should never change. life long akron residents love the mascot. his clumsiness is part of his apeal. fear the roo! :macc:

maybe there's a hangover from the football season and the basketball team has been playing during the long winter break. there'll be zip fever again in march when everyone jumps on the band wagon like football season. who cares when they hop on though as long as they hop on. the more the merrier. see you on the floor tonight! fear the roo! :macc:

i agree, good move for JF. no way he was going to get much time with the zips. there was never any consideration in the past year of replacing getsy with JF when luke struggled. good luck JF.

agreed, howe didn't out-play rohr in any way. you can't compare him to jay based on a few snaps and special teams play. i'm just saying if he can stay healthy, he has the potential to be a solid linebacker much like the over acheiver jay rohr did. you won't find a bigger fan of jay rohr than me :macc:

if howe can stay healthy he'll be as good, if not better, than jay rohr. he's a hitting machine and a good athlete. in addition to ankle and shoulder problems, i think he had a couple of concussions.

it's hard to say where he might go. did anyone really think that chase blackburn would make and NFL team? he had a great year on special teams and even got two starts at inside linebacker.
you just never know.
