Did anyone notice how shitty ken(t)'s band was compared to ours? I just can't understand any of the criticism of our band and why anyone would waste though on this when we have a football program that is such a piece of garbage. I bet if these same people were on the Titanic, they'd be bitching about the band that played as the ship sank.

As I watched CMU/Can't, it occurred to me that Can't is bad, not pathetic and they are watchable. We are truly pathetic, not a team I care to watch right now, and TERRIBLY coached. I thought the same thing. We are so far from being a competitive team. Both teams had superior talent at most positions and much better coaching. We had better players and coaches $60 million ago when we practiced on a field next to a blimp hanger and played in a stadium that was falling apart ( but sold beer). This investment in football has to be the biggest financial disaster in university history. Zero return on investment.

Most of the time the band is the only group in Infocision that are worthy of watching. They've done a fine job over the years and continue to do so. They HAVE to subject themselves to the weekly tragedy on the field that is Akron football. i think they've suffered enough without being bashed on the board.

People assume Waddel would want to get back into a bed that someone else shit. In. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Akron if I was trying to make a name for myself. The program is in big trouble and it's only going to get worse. If the Info stadium was a private home, it would be headed toward foreclosure.

from my limited experiences with JD and his staff, i'll say they all were classy and good men. it was time for a change which will be best for all involved. i haven't seen any personal bashing of these guys on this site and i think it says a lot for the staff.

i'm glad my predicition was wrong too. i guess i should have a little more faith in the new adminsistration. hopefully they'll make more changes within and get this program in gear.

When I counted right before halftime it was two to our left and 14 to the right, and I don't think one of them is enrolled this semester.regardless of who is there, you guys do a helluva job and are a highlight of the gameday experience.

i'm guessing that like the concession stands, not all men's rooms were open. they expected the tiny crowd and figured they shouldn't open everything up like they do for the big crowds. so much for the idea of sending us all 4 tickets 3 days ago to pass out to friends and family.

i gotta think at this point it's a purely financial decission. does it cost the university more to cut jd loose or to keep him? is it going to cost more to eat contracts and lose a sizeable donation or will lost ticket revenues, concessions, merchandising, etc. cost more?

Where are you pulling that information from? Wagner is a sophomore academically, which means he is getting into his major now. Both him and Nicely have a chance to play for 4 years and rebuild a struggling program.It is not the JD Brookhart Zips. It is the Akron Zips, who have first rate facilities and a new stadium. I think we should be worry about the recruits. Akron has her meat hooks firmly in the two you mentioned though.someone very fond of JD donates a very large chunk of money to the school, money they can't afford to lose. nicely decided not to go to BG after they changed coaches. he can transfer from akron and still have 3 years left. don't think he won't do it if he loses a coach here that he likes. wagner i'm not sure about. i'd be suprised like you if he left but that's what i get from a reliable source.

i counted 3, yes 3, students in the student section closest to the endzone. few students at what is still a commuter school come to games during a break.
