  1. i was down there for the 3rd (had a wedding to attend) and don't worry osu plays at night and akron plays at 12 there is no conflict.. as for the o line they weren't that bad . heard on the radio that crouch was hurt didn't hear what and how bad. allemen played well as did kemee (sp) but willis was over matched against johnson thought johson is a big man! speaking of big dl how about robinson and kiki?!!!!! those two played great and the mac will have a hard time running agianst them.can't wait for nc state! :screwks:

  2. just saw the miami nwu game on replay on the u and miami has a long way to go on the offensive side of the ball... their o line looks really small but they are athletic. their qb has talent but is very raw and they will have a hard time showing balance with out murphy. i am sure they will be better when they play akron but i am not as nervous about it :screwks:

  3. back to the thread.... this rodgers kid looks pretty good! he's more of a polished passer than hakes although hakes is a much better athlete. that's no knock on rodgers though as he throws on the run really well making several throws rolling to his left (something you don't see too much in h.s.) this will give us the depth we need as i think Chris Jacquemain will be asked to move pos. next year and may transfer.... just a guess but i hope we can keep them all :screwks:

  4. looks like the final depth chart was just updated.... glad to see jackson take the back up qb spot ... also good to see pace get his starting job back the secondary should be strong. only true frosh in as a starter is stec at punter (not too much of a surprise) but again where is harvey? is robinson that lazy that he can't beat out Cecchetti? also questions in the return game but there is talent therecan't wait for the season to start!!!!! :screwks:

  5. ok a mike is the inside lb...also if you were to hear will or sam that would be weak and strong side lb.as far as the 3-3-5 is concerned you have 3 down linemen 3 linebackers and 5 in the secondary. the bandit pos. was grant last year and looks like it will be williams this year tends to play on the weak side and tends to be used as a 4th rusher and can line up on the line for time to time. the other flexible pos. is the rover spot played by mackey. the rover is a lb/ss as he tends to play close to the line for run support but can also drop back into coverage in nickel packages. the 3-3-5 works well for akron in many ways. first would be the previously mentioned article saying that its easier to recruit a 6'2 lb than a big fast dl. also this works well as the mac tends to run multiply wide sets or a spread offense. :screwks:

  6. per rivals preview N.C. State: Coach Chuck Amato is not at all pleased with the play of his defense going into this Saturday's scrimmage. He was especially displeased with their performance in the goal-line drills. that's what i like to hear! :screwks:

  7. the point is that there are 365 days in a year and that they picked the home opener shows poor planning on the athletic dept. with 3 of 4 on the road it should be easy to move the date and if the course is a problem then they need to move locations simple as that.... akron needs as many people at as many functions as possible so why complicate things? :screwks:

  8. you can't have it both ways if the mac wants national t.v. games it is going to have to play on odd days that's just the way it is.... we will be fine in attendance as long as we are winning games and most of of feel that way. had akron not played in a monsoon (army) and a blizzard (Can't State) they would have been over 15k easy and i am perdicting a large crowd for the final game as its the day after thanksgiving and people will need something to do. :screwks:
