Cocky? What have they done that's cocky. All I've Romeo say is that he thinks we'll win the MAC, but that he respects every team in the conference and that it'll be a tough road. Gimme a break dude...

I saw this one coming. Can't will probably beat Butler tomorrow at home and forget how much tougher of an opponent Nevada was for Akron and how Akron had to go across the country and play them. We'll see what you have to say March 4th Antonio

Again, the newspaper thing is done by everyone...I know I'm not thinking of much to help, but you have to be creative, not do stuff high school and college teams have been doing for 10-15 years.

Or we can just not do it at allthe Romeo chant needs to be thought about. Either yell ROME -E -O, OHH. OHH. once, or twice. The first time is loud and strong. The second time only half the people say it, and it sounds like crap. keep it in unison. Do it enough one way, and everyone will catch on. Much like the HIXON, HIXON, HIXON, chant in football.

As an AK-Rowdy, my random thoughts on this...- I do agree that the crowd needs to do more to the opposing players, although it has to be good and creative for students to catch on. Maybe someone could find pictures of these guys on facebook or something? - What I DON'T think we need to be more like is Can't. The constant obscenities and middle fingers coming from the student section was an embarassment. I hadn't remembered crowds being like that in previes years at Can't State, and I had always respected their crowd a great deal...until this year.- Last year the athletic department would pass out information about some of the opposing players...things like funny real first names, nicknames...stuff like that. - I'm sorry...although i like that people are trying to be creative, the Romeo chant is horrible...

Does everyone realize that before the Akron @ Can't sellout, Can't's average attendance was LOWER than Akron's?The captain is right. This article left a bad taste in my mouth when I read it. It is simply their way of responding to many of the vocal zip fans on this board who have complained about coverage. What we are going to get in response are comentaries from idiot OSU junkies saying that Akron sucks, nobody cares about the MAC...yadeyadeya. There are no good intentions with that article.Let's start beating Can't for once in hoops and then we can start talking attendance. How bout let's make the NIT for once. We have done absolutely nothing in basketball, nothing at all in recent history. Where is that big road win this year? We lost to OU. We lost to Can't. Will we pull one off in Oxford? At Nevada? Maybe Buffalo? This article is not necessary. -
Yeah, I'd definitely agree...I'm all about getting in to the rivalry, but there were a few too many middle fingers and strong obscenities yelled by Can't State fans for my liking...didn't leave me having much respect for them. On the flip side, I have a great deal of respect for OU fans. Their coach stopped the game to tell the students to stop a "Bullshit" chant...the students realized they were wrong and got even noisier, this time in a respectful manner. This all goes back to this "greater than everyone else" attitude Can't State has...

He's pretty bad. He played intramurals the year before he became a walk-on. He was ridiculous offensively - scored 70 in one game - but he was also being guarded by assholes like us lol. He is a great shooter, but I'm not sure he could get his shot off against D1 players. As for his defense, it is good...for intramurals. He doesn't have the size ability to cover a D1 opponent IMO. I honestly don't even see the need for him being on the squad...but then again, Mraz and Rybak don't impress me either...hopefully none of the three will see the floor much come next year.
