you mean the football team lack of post season. record leaves much to be desired .we won eight games in our best year ever.i know we needed a new stadium,but the jar is
a dump.your not going to get any quality b-ball team to play there ever. it's amazing he gets any kind of talent to come to akron. given the dump we play in.
hopefully the juco kid can give us some size in the backcourt.were not the only mac b-ball program that gets no respect.ou went to the sweet 16.did'nt help ou's program one bit.
people on here act like no mac school has ever won any ncaa games.the ncaa is all about making millions over what teams deserve to be in the tourney.if we schedule
more teams like nova they say we don't have enough quality wins.win 27 and they ncaaa will say we don't play anybody.given the state of our football team were stuck in the mac.
we won 26 games one year and did not even make the nit.what does that tell you.it's all about keeping the $ in power 5 conferences for football,and b-ball.

there are some things that if we had a crystal ball. would have changed the b-ball program, and football programs. the rubber bowl was falling apart.the turf was in bad shape,and the players had to be bussed
to the rubber bowl for practices. akron built the jar; which was needed as an upgrade to memorial hall. looking back if it could have combined the money spent on both.
akron could have had a first class arena owned by the university.the football team could have use it for indoor practice. it may not have been as good as the indoor one the fb team has now.
the football team now has a brand new stadium,and indoor facility.while the b-ball program is stuck with the jar.the new stadium had to be built,but if the b-ball team had new arena you might start to see some mid to high majors play at akron.

morris. kd has personally told you that he schedules easy home games he so can get a bonus for 20 wins. you guys sat down at kd's house for dinner in 2013.you gave him a direct order to win an ncaa game, or you are firing him.
he is still here two years later so????????????? what happened.

bg gave up 60 TN, and 27 agasint MD. some people make it sound like ohio u,and bg are the OSU, and ALABAMA.im not saying they are not good teams.bg defense is horrible, just like our offense is bad.

so beating temple, fsu on the road we not big wins.both of them were on the bubble to make the ncaa tourney. the years we played them.

Bowden took over the worst program in d-1.we had the #1 defense in the mac last year, and still probably will this year.at some point we five seniors on the o-line that can't pass,or run block.
instead of blaming the coaches for all the problems. the offense players need to start taking the blame for what's happened. if they were all freshman I could see them having problems.
until we can start running the ball it does not matter who the qb is. we have had way to many drops by wr that were catchable balls.if we can't run the ball at all it does not matter who the qb is.
we could always hire somebody like R.I.whos defense gave up 50 pts a game. hiring somebody new would mean losing any chance we have to have a decent program.we won't see any teams like ou,or pitt
in mac play. need to start winning games by winning this week. bowden actually sat pohl out and extra game even though he was cleared to play last year.saying Bowden caused his injury is just plain stupid.

thanks for the info OU DUDE. my question is. everyone assumes we will be a
two bid league every year. what if u-mass won the mac tourney,and we only get one bid?
maybe they have bad year,and don't qualify for an at large bid.my point is the mac is taking all
the risk. now we are splitting the cash 13 ways instead of 12.how many times in a ten year period
would the mac have to get two teams in ncaa tourney to make $ sense. we taking on a bad football
program which does nothing but dilute the football revenue. let me know what you think.

we had go to guys this year
tree/noah who are no longer playing now.
noah comes back healthy.the kid from st.v's, tino, and I.V.
should give us good backcourt play.
i have no idea where reggie,and jake fit on next year's team?
we also have the from kid from n.c. coming in next year.he should give us help at the four spot.
hopefully im wrong ,but i just see jake/reggie more than role players next year.

to say our talent level has not gone up is dumb satement. R.I. left tb one of the
worst defensive teams in d-1 football.we had the #1 defense in the mac last year.
thanks to the chest.this defense may even be better this year with the transfers.
i could care less about how our rankings are.they don't take account
the transfers coming in.we had tommy brown and pittman came in from
OSU.both played well. pittman was four star player.marcus coming from osu was a three star player.
coe was a four star player.the lb transfer from wsu was a three star player.
you see teams from the nfl go from worst to first in the divison all the time.
the reason usually is winning the turnover battle.the reason we lost this year
is our offense turned the ball over,and to many penalites on both sides of the ball.
the chest is doing his job on defense.tb needs to find a coach on offense
to fix the problems.it would be nice have a rb that is not also on our d-line.
maybe our qb had some injury problems, and should not have been playing the last
few games.we need to get the qb position setteld in the spring.less turnovers/less penalites.
then we will start having 8-4 seasons.

akron was 10th in scoring,and last in time of possession. we still had the number 1 defense even though they were on
the field more than any other mac team. how has our team suffered because we are bring in transfers ?
I would rather have great player for two years than some kid in high school that may never play.
I remember the good old days. we were only 7-6 when we won the mac.we have never won more than seven games in a season.
I would rather forget them good old days.

Can't has decent b-ball team. going to the final 8 teams did nothing for them currently.

I keep hearing we don't play anybody.that's a bunch of b.s. akron s.o.s is 123 out of 351 teams.
the only mac school that has higher s.o.s. is buffalo.when the kids commit to akron.
they come to akron because we win 20+ games every year,and we have a
coach they know is going to be here. how do think we had a commit from b.j. gladden.
he had offers from wake forest,but chose akron.how did we get a kid from las vegas to come to akron.why would he become to place that's cold as hell compared to where he lived.
he came because we win games and liked the k.d. the a.d. ,kd,or the pres.
needs to listen to people on this board in person about the j.a.r.
I don't have a problem with upgrading the jar.they won't listen to the fans though.
the first thing is the internet feed. it's been a joke since they stared this.
the internet has nothing to do with the j.a.r.not every fan can make every home game.
we still would like to watch the game on the net.fix the simple problems first.
you can't put a bathroom upstairs? if you have to go downstairs you could a few min of the game.
when they have a good fan turnout for game.the downstairs is a cluster f at half time.
you have the bathrooms,people getting gear,or food.the feeling I have is like having
100 people in my small apartment.my dad actually coach evans dad in 7th grade football.
he was a great qb.my dad say's he is getting old when kids he coached kids are
playing at akron u.maybe he will get to see akron win a ncaa tourney game before he passes away.
l.o.l he is 74 and still works in the summer at a golf course.he has more energy than I do.l.o.l

you can't lose your best rebounder,and, scorer. kd shoud have tried everything he could to let tree back on the team. we would have one loss right now.no one woud complain then.why not keep Harney
on the team also.does not matter what they did.just win at all cost.i say get rid of kd and bring in
a guy named coleman Crawford,or dan hipsher.

from the press conference.bowden seems happy with the defense. going into next year chuck is running that show.
we will probably have the best dl akron has ever had.grice , pittman,marcus, and coe.marcus and coe both ran 4.6 40 yard dashes in high school.coe has gained alott of weight since then,but shows he has size, and speed.we are coming off the number 1 defense in the mac from last year.seems like there is going to be some changes on the offensive side of the ball.he seems to be high on the rb transfer from csu,and qb chapman.sounds like we don't have much depth on the o-line though.i still don't think pohl was healthy after
he was hurt.alott of times players lie to coaches about how healthy they are so they can play.

We have been plagued with the forget to turn on the mic thing for years.
Personally, I would prefer to not have to wait four years to be able to watch the games. I am a '71 grad, I may not be around in 4 years.
espn 3 is not espn.never wil be. my cable carreier is massillion cable.they do not carry espn three.which means
no football.the basketball feed has been like this for years.it can be done in other cofferces like the horizon has been doing for about five years.just not in the mac.the first thing ask about the poor video audi/feed.then the second question about of kd's press confences should be about the audio feed.i no faith in tw do get anything done.

Michigan is looking really bad right now. A loss to NJIT, and now EMU? They caught them at the right time. Good for the Eagles, and good for the MAC.

i complained to one of the asst a.d.about this four seasons ago.when i was living in Atlanta.
he pretty said in so many words tough she-- ite.i was paying for the feed back then!!!
it's like they really just don't care.

that would be great if we could get the best two or three OL from the team. the great thing is they could play right away. then we could run the ball more next year. if someone can correct me,but we passed
about 70% of the time? how many schollies do we have left? if we can score points passing that much that's great,but we did not.we were last in time of possessions;which means our defense is on the field all the time.
this would we be the fastest way to improve our team.

gp which defense would you take in the mac.? defense- 1 gives up 23 ppg.defense-2 gives 34 ppg ?
the problem is we are the most penalized team in the mac,and a offense ranked 10 th scoring.
our offense is last in time of possession also.if you take the blocked punt away our offense scores 16 yesterday.time of possession does not mean anything if your scoring points,but we don't.
we have the #1 defense in the mac. despite being on the field more than any other team.
our defense will be fine next year. we have a d-coordinator who knows what he is doing.
the perfect example of this would be the bg game.our offense throws a pick the in the end zone.
no points. next the qb let's the snap go into our end zone.touchdown bg.bg scores 27, but the defense only gives up 20 points.im not saying our defense is perfect.marashall only had one game where they score under 35.they scored 63 on southern miss,and over 60 yesterday.i have no clue about the buffalo game.since we are so bad they won't put akron on tv.why play weeknight games if they won't put us on tv.espn3 is not cable tv.
I did not see the game.we have enough coaching/talent to win the mac championship on defense.
the offense side of the ball were not even close.

I know I will get hammered for this.i just can't wacth womens b-ball.even the womens pro league teams would get beat by any
boys high school team.i hope they do well. I just can't watch the sport.it's like womens usa soccer would get destroyed
by the akron mens team.i .womens v-ball,golf,softball I can watch.
my best friend coaches girl's softball. I go to all the time.why? because I could not hit a fastpitch softball.
I don't have kids playing sports, so I guess that's some of my problem.

this could be a huge pickup . kd seemed high on the kid that is coming from glenville .he is 6-5 and would assume play the 3 spot this year.
does anybody know if kd has drop someone now? there were some posters on here.you know who you were.
