  1. I really don't see this home cooking you speak of. K S U 3 - 6 U of A 23 - 34K S U
  2. Class act! zip fans should be proud of Balki Bartokomous. Just sad...
  3. WRONG! i said it myself. win, lose, tie Can't will always suck. I stand corrected...
  4. You are correct. I am only posting because K.E.N.T. did something big. When you win one game the prior year you can't brag much. When you whip the defending MAC Champs you can. I beg to differ with you and most of the other boad members. No one other then true K.E.N.T. fans thought we had a chance in this game. I couldn't get one akron fan to take a bet. The didn't want to "take my money". I would also like to have you review some the pregame talk. I'm not buying into the hype on the Flushes. They're still a second rate program with a second-rate coach and fifth rate fans. They're talent level hasn't really increased since that drubbing we gave them last year, and the Zips are clicking at the right time. In my opinion, this one is going to be a fun day for the Zips at Rubber Bowl East, especially since so many Can't fans have gotten it into their heads that they actually have a chance to beat us.Zips rollAkron 38Can't 7 "inthezone" 09/28/2006OR K.e.n.t.'s kicker is as bad as ours, so the special team's play this week is a wash. You don't go on the road and beat NC State, then go to K.e.n.t. and lose.K.e.n.t.'s QB is terrible. He'll throw 5 INT's this week. Jarvis will get nowhere.Dennis Kennedy has 150 yards and 3 TD's by halftime.Somehow we'll have a punt snapped over someone's head and lose a couple points, but this game is a big wake up call for K.e.n.t.. They won't have 100 yards of total offense in the first 3 quarters combined.Zips 42Can't 6 "Captian K" 09/28/2006Not one person that posted in the pregame predictions thought K.E.N.T. would score over 20 points. How do you like them apples?
  5. That was a good old fashioned ass whooping. Every akron fan thought K.E.N.T. gladly take an ass beating Sat. Before the game I heard trash talk about how K.E.N.T "had not beaten anyone this year" and "how akron was the premier football program". WTF happened?``Obviously, it was a frustrating day from our standpoint,'' Zips coach J.D. Brookhart said. ``Certainly, we made our share of mistakes but I think you have to give (Can't State) credit. They outplayed us in many facets.'' Outplayed? That was total domination my friend...
  6. I don't think KZ is a mole. I think he is a beaten down sports fan from NE Ohio. (I bet he is a browns fan) I also think KZ should be watched over the next few days. Should the zaps take a beating at the Gund he might do something to harm himself. See you at the Gund.
  7. Can't still pulled twice as many fans as akron u. With all the talk on this board about how this has been a suprise season for the zips. I bet the team was SUPRISED to see 1520 fans there. Zip fans should be proud. See you at the Gund.
  8. update National Average: 923 1. Miami: 983 2. Ball State: 981 3. Toledo: 979 4. Western Michigan: 950 5. Bowling Green: 942 6. Ohio: 941 7. [screw 'em]: 925 8. Buffalo: 885* 8. Can't State: 885* 10. Eastern Michigan: 865 11. Akron: 860 12. Central Michigan: 840 13. Northern Illinois: 839 Asterisks indicate the fact that the NCAA believes larger data samples (i.e., more academic years considered than just the previous one) will cause Buffalo and Can't State to meet or exceed the 925 cutoff. _________________ Trying to show the whole picture.
  9. I did my homework. I showed the USA Today list from todays paper. I didn't see Can't on the list. I think you are taking it the wrong way. akron u did a better job than UNLV. Congrats for not making the Football list. (this year)
  10. It has been said; bad press is better than no press. Winning isn't all academic for Division I schools Looming is the potential loss of scholarships, a penalty that won't be applied until next fall. Rates released Monday are from the 2003-04 school year and will be folded into a two-year average. Teams then deemed deficient will be barred from replacing a scholarship player who leaves while academically ineligible. The initial APRs are a warning shot and public relations blow. "The point of this," said Hartford President Walter Harrison, who heads the NCAA's Committee on Academic Performance, "is to change behavior ... to send a signal to presidents and to athletic directors and coaches that you are headed in the wrong direction and that you should use these — warnings this year and then the penalties — as motivation to change what you're doing so that you can improve." An academic rate was compiled for every team at every Division I school, a total of 5,720, tracking whether scholarship athletes a) remain at the school, and stay academically eligible and ultimately graduate. Points are awarded, player by player, and the NCAA has determined that teams should hit 92.5% of their possible total — an APR of 925. The NCAA says that projects a 50% graduation rate. Warned NCAA vice president Kevin Lennon, "If you live around the border, the ... penalties will catch up with you. 11. This is where you get things confused. Can't is not that good of a team. I have said that all year. Can't has been a great 20 min team all year. Our problem has been the last 20 mins of each game. 02/26/05 we played the last 20 best. I worried more about hip's teams. hip's record vs. Can't looks pretty good over kd's. The Hurd may bring their A game Wednesday. Nice to know it will be the last time anyone sees a.w. williams.
  12. Can someone get ZS a tissue? You might be new to the area. Can't has played and won without a key player. Nate G. missed all of lastyear and is not close to the player he was two years ago. I do really like all the comments about the MACC being filled with "white trash" students and fans. I have been to many games @ the jar. I think maybe you might want to rethink those comments and take a closer look at your fan base. The jar is the only MAC arena with a parole officer section. See you at the Gund. (Where they hold the MAC Championship in Cleveland.) I didn't know if you knew where it is or why people go.
