  1. The thing is, these applications are made for an entire sport, with pages customized for individual teams. As far as I know, no one has created one for collegiate soccer.
  2. This win put the Zips up to #6 in the NCSAA polls.A win over a very good NIU team should put us back in the top 5.
  3. Bringing this thing back. Join up, pile on the Can't State hate!In football we're only ranked as the #100 team in terms of fans. We're #84 in the basketball one. We always like to see more people join. You can take a Zips trivia challenge, and add your own questions if you know something we're missing. Talk smack with the other team's fans, and see how we compare as a fanbase. If these two things are the only two uses you have for Facebook, so be it.Here's where we stand so far:Football:Basketball:
  4. Was it really that much. The pictures do all the talking:Who has the most fans in NE Ohio??Those pictures don't tell the whole story. We know that YSU's stadium only has stands on one side of the field. The photos taken at the Rubber bowl show the side where nobody sits on. Can't's pics look pretty accurate, though.
  5. This was touched on in ESPN.com's national nonBCS blog. Can't and Akron battle health issues for rivalry gameEven with Alex Allen and Andrew Johnson out we're still better off at RB than them, since Jarvis will be out.
  6. Attendance was officially 16927.
  7. According to those ratings, we should win every game left except for Bowling Green. I can live with that.
  8. It all comes down to Andrew Johnson's diagnosis. If he will return in a few weeks, I can't see JD burning Devoe's redshirt. If Johnson's out for the season, then we will need him.
  9. The thing is, that's a losing attitude. It's not enough to say that we could have won. It's that we should have won, but we found a way to lose. I will never be satisfied until we stop finding ways to lose close games.I just can't be happy with a close loss at home, where we had every opportunity in the world to win and we threw it all away. I was happy with the outcome of the Wisconsin game, but I was disappointed with this game. Some of the players just didn't want to win.
  10. It's Can't week! :screwks: :screwks: :screwks: Time to stop dwelling on the past. It's flush hunting time!Saturday determines our season. Win, and we can win the East. Lose and it's pretty much over. It's time to learn from our mistakes: Fixing the high snap problem is apparently not a priority for the coaches. It hasn't been fixed through five games now, so Jacq had better work on his jumping skills. The kicking situation is going downhill in a hurry. Special teams coach Brookhart will not be happy. We are down two top running backs. Gary Pride made his debut, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Joe Tuzze is more of a blocking fullback than a ball carrier. If Andrew Johnson can't return soon, will we see some underclassmen step up?We can't blame officiating for anything. We all know MAC refs suck; it's just something we have to live with. Don't put yourself in a position where the game could be decided by a bad call.Matt Rodgers made his debut against Cinci. He played only one down: a handoff that got a few yards. It shows that the coach really is willing to put him in there with the game on the line if Jacq goes down. There was no hesitation on JD's part, even when we didn't know how long Jacq would be out. It's time to move on. Learn from the mistakes and get ready to pound those hippies into the ground. Can't runs an option offense now, which we showed good signs of being able to defend against Army. Having our DL back really makes a difference. You saw JD rotating defensive linemen frequently, and it kept the run defense fresh the whole game, which is something we really need against Can't.JD and his staff will spend countless hours going over the tape from the Cinci game. There is tons to learn from a game where virtually any play could have decided the outcome. Watch carefully to see if some of the mistakes are corrected next week. It's the sign of a good coaching staff. If it's the same old stuff we still might win, but you can't count on beating anybody else. It's time to make our run in the East, to become eventual MAC champs!
  11. A big question is now at our RB spot. It used to be the surest thing we had going for us. Will we see Gary Pride? Does Devoe burn his redshirt?
  12. Johnson got hit hard, but he was moving all his extremeties. There was bad penalties, bad playcalling, and bad attitudes. What is up with Igor? Does he want to get replaced on FG duties too?We have to win next game. Lose and JD has to be gone.
  13. We needed some DL guys to step up with all the injuries, but also since the other team ran an option offense. Lemon answered the call.
  14. That's one of the pitfalls of playing in a conference with a greedy commissioner. I'm just glad to see it's not just Rick Chryst who sells out the conference just to get a game on TV on a weekday. We're stuck playing games on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and we have a double bye-week because the people in charge of the MAC value getting a game on TV more than creating a fan-oriented atmosphere or attendance numbers. At least Oregon State managed to have a good crowd for thursday game.
  15. Yes at certain times of the day I could see the Morrison house in CAM 3It looks like it's gone. But, because of the cloud cover today. I'm not really sure.I just drove by. It's still there, fully intact. They are making more progress on the ramp located in the back yard, though.
  16. I can't really see if the Morrison house is gone in the cam. Could you see it before today?I'll drive past it after class and take a look.
  17. Don't take the Zips lightly - Scout.com
  18. Bingo. I've been trying to convince some friends to show up for a while now. They say they aren't football fans, but that's not what it's all about. It's about the tailgating and hanging out with friends and the atmosphere of the whole thing.
  19. It won't happen. Cinci will likely bring 2,000 fans according to UAM. If we can't outdraw that, we're in trouble.
  20. I missed the show last night. Thanks for the summary.
  21. Bain is supposedly in some legal thing with the NCAA, but the only one whom I've heard that from is M.Rasor and his sources are mysterious at best on this.I hope he's wrong this time.
  22. According to Rasor's blog Eric Lively, Deni Odofin and James Harvey are all cleared to play this week. I'm especially excited to see Lively back even if he is a bit rusty. Lively and Harvey give us a size advantage we didn't have.We just doubled our depth on the DL.
  23. The next two weeks ARE the season. Win, and we will roll. Lose, and you're out of here, JD. Split and we'll be stuck in limbo just like we are now with no bearing on how good or bad we are.
  24. It must be nice to have so much unfounded optimism based solely on one's conference affiliation.Maybe... some day...
