  1. AKRON ON TOP NEAR THE HALF! THE CROWD IS STUNNED...
  2. 1) No squabbling here. Not while the game is underway. 2) Zips are HANGING IN THERE big time. Only 4 down with a few minutes to the half. GO ZIPS!!!!!
  3. LOVE IT! +100! GO ZIPS! Thanks for injecting some optimism into the board NZF. We sorely need that kind of attitude around here. ZIPS SHOCK THE WORLD!
  4. The point of my earlier post though was that Bowden is turning this thing around with many of the same players who were SO bad the last couple of years playing for Ianello. We can dismiss this win as much as we'd like but there were zero predictable wins in the last few years. Yesterday was a big deal, especially when coupled with the game against FIU. I'm amazed at what Bowden is doing with these kids. It was only a year or two ago that I remember an offense that almost literally couldn't throw, to receivers who almost literally couldn't catch. I'll never forget being at a game two or three years ago, watching Jeremy LaFrance (who, I hate to say was the best receiver we had at the time) clowning around on the sideline while the team was being decimated on the field of play. I was pissed that he, along with others on the team, were so cavalier while being beaten so badly. It was endemic in those days and part of what left me with such a bad taste about the whole program then. No way in hell would we see that with Terry in charge. Bottom line is that it's amazing to me that many of these kids, who looked like such losers in the past couple of seasons are becoming, shall I say it, impressive in short order. Lastly, who recruited Pohl? In checking the box again, he threw 3 TDs yesterday too. Was Ianello the guy who recruited him? He may be a good one too. I hope so, since Williams only has this year to play.
  5. Stunning performance today. Stupendous. Truly. The Zips have a D too. And that D has a secondary. How is this being done with many of the same players that Ianello had?
  6. Watching the game on ESPN3. Box score shows 753 yards gained by the Zips today with a couple of minutes left to play. Spectacular. It's amazing to be entertained by a Zips football team. I can't wait to see how they look against other MAC squads, assuming they don't suffer major injuries against Tennessee next week. Go Zips!
  7. This program was completely unwatchable before this year. I'll take this moral victory, on the road, in the heat, every day after the last few years. Watching the Zips between 2005 and now was like eating fiber; it made me sad. I watched an exciting game that the Zips almost won. How can you not be happy not to be just plain sad today about that game?
  8. EEFFFFFFF YESSSSSSSS! GOOOOO ZZZZZIIIIIIIPPPPPPSSSSSS.
  9. This is the most fun I've had watching the Zips in at least 5 years. Win or lose, this is entertaining football. Thanks Terry!
  10. Well what the HELL do you know? ZIPS BACK ON TOP. SUCK THAT FIU BITCHES.
  11. Good field position. What are you made of, young ones?
  12. 10:00 to go and the ball coming to us. GO ZIPS.
  13. Medlock takes a grande hit. Hope he's OK but ineffective the rest of the way.
  14. Not true. The Zips are still in this game. Get the heads out of the asses and make this a game. RECOVERY!!! GO ZIPS!
  15. Ruh roh: worrying about the Zips in the 2nd half: check
  16. Medlock is a fatty. Lots o' junk in that trunk. GO CODY GRICE.
  17. The opposing QB taking a BEATING during the game from OUR D: check
