Did anyone receive there football renewal forms? It looks like parking in LOT 9 now requires a $100 Z Fund donation plus the $50 for the parking pass. So, it looks like it will cost me $150 to park to go to the football games and $110 to actually watch the game in a reserved seat, in a 64 million dollar stadium, if I purchase both. I guess its a little cheaper than the $5,000 donor lot it was supposed to be. Will any of you who have purchased LOT 9 passes previously pay the $100 fee? I predict LOT 9 will be half full next fall.

Last nights soccer celebration was a big disappointment. How could you not have atleast a 5 minute video going over all the teams we beat and post National Championship interviews? Why wasn't the players introduced individually? Atleast Coach Porter spoke to the fans. And tuesdays celebration is at 5:30, not many people who work will be able to attend that, why so early? Why isn't there a banquet like there was for the basketball team when they made the NCAA tournament a few years ago? Seeing how poorly this was done, I will have a hard time believing the Athletic Department will take the initiative to rename the street next to the field house National Champions Way and the street next to the stadium Porter's Place as was mentioned on a post recently by Zips Win. Maybe my expectation level is just too high.

After tonights game, the Zips need someone who has the ability to put the ball in the basket. The Zips could have used his 3 of 9 shooting from the field and 5 of 6 from the line tonight.

This gets real old reading how LeBron has been helpful with the University. He bought them shoes. He has a camp at the school for around 5 years now? And how many of those players have ended up at The University of Akron? If Zeke didn't then none. So what good has the camp done? Its a none issue. He never attended any games last year and he doesn't keep in contact with Coach Dambrot as Keith has mentioned in recent interviews. Lebron is only about Lebron, as this week showed. So please stop this garbage how Lebron helps the Universty.

I am sure Zips fans will be joining you in Lot 9 since many of its fans who regularly attend games and support the University can no longer park there. We will probably be stuck in either Lot 14 or 73 thanks to U Tube Tom.

Joe Dunn said Steve McNeese is one of the best point guards in the midwest and people want to move him to the 2-spot. How can anyone question Joe Dunn's basketball IQ?

Sorry for the Monday morning reality check, but the Zips couldn't beat any of these teams on their best day. All of these teams are near the top of their respective conferences. I saw Vandy take apart South Carolina in Columbia this year and they would destroy the Zips. Maryland finished near the top of a real conference as did Wisconsin and Purdue. UofA finished second in the worst conference in the country and was destroyed twice by the regular season champion. The Zips lost to a bad OU team in the MAC Championship. There is no way they beat either of these teams. Next year, I need everyone to do me a favor. I asked a similar favor after football season when I asked everyone to stop posting as if it is the 1950s and it has taken a little. Next year, I need everyone to go to a top level conference game somewhere driveable from NE Ohio...meaning the Big East or Big Ten. Go with an open mind and really think about the Zips position and college basketball and ask whether or not they could really be even competitive in one of those leagues. If you come to the conclusion the Zips fall short, it doesn't make you a bad fan. I go to both ACC and SEC games here in the south and I can no longer convince myself what I watch at a MAC basketball game is even similar. GP1.... If the zips would have made the tourney then they would not have lost to a bad OU team. Just the 2 bad losses to the regular season champion.

My bad- thats 3pm till 730- when French and Dunn take over the airwaves.Great idea by 1350 to have an all Zips show leading up to the game for the MAC Championship. But having 2 Luckeye honks, who have not been to a Zips game in years is lame. Bill Needle would be better hosting the show. Now if Steve French and Joe Dunn did the show, it would be far more entertaining and informative. Last week, I turned on 1350 during Jon Marachino and the Fish's show and they were giving away Zips tickets to the upcoming mens basketball games vs Ohio and Cant st. They had to have mentioned "mens tickets" atleast 10 times over the 20 minutes I listened to the show. I was waiting to see if they could figure it out or someone call and tell them the OU tickets were for the womens game that was played yesterday. Bill Needle was bad but not this bad. I would love to see a new 8,000 seat arena as much as anyone. But the University/Athletic Department needs to take care of the one program that wins and plays top notch programs. Raise $6million and build a top notch soccer stadium first which will then keep coach Porter here at Akron. Coach said monday on Zips Live that he was promised new facilities when he was hired four years ago. Time may be running out.

Yale's coach, on a 4th and 22, faked a punt at his own 20 leading 10-7 with less than 3 minutes left. They got 15 yards then lost 14-10.
