The stupid ass flea flicker call when we only needed 2 yards is looming larger as the game goes on.

Agree.
As head coach, I think Bowden's got a tough call to make concerning Miwee this off season.
On the flip side, the defensive coached have really come up with a good game plan.

Milwee's playcalling is an embarrassment.

Good lord I am not impressed with Ohio. This team is leading the MAC East? Good lord the MAC East sucks. If we have Woodson, I think we win this game comfortably. I'm not impressed with Ohio in the slightest.
Agree. How in the Hell did they beat Turdledo?

Probably trying to avoid an injury. If Goodman goes down, we have nothing left.
Right. Better make sure we save him for next week.

We did that at Ohio State last year in the NIT. The only problem is that we do not take advantage of the opportunity when it was presented.
Is there an echo in here?

Rob Ianello sighting.

Joe Akron.
He doesn't care. He's drinking a Busch Light and watching the Buckeyes.

Hey Skip, the Zips had a chance to beat a name school last year, a terrible Ohio State team. What happened? We pissed down our leg. Until you can actually capitalize on opportunities it is probably best not to purposely set them up.

Take the risk, and you might just reap the rewards. There's nothing to lose.
There certainly is. 21.

The trick is to schedule name programs when they are cycling down. OU didn't beat a good GT team, but they still get the milage from beating a team that people relate to through their memories of Mark Price, John Salley and Chris Bosh.

Just how apeshit crazy would you go if you lived to see Corso put on the Zippy head?

Welp, I didn't make the trip to Kalamazoo and now I'm kinda kicking myself in the ass. Instead, I'm sitting here in Ashland, watching vicariously, with the most extreme case of MAC envy. Great turnout. Looks great on television. I can't help but dream how great it would feel to be a Western fan today.

In 20-30 years, all the people who currently read a newspaper will be dead.

Oh my goodness. Those shorts are the worst thing I have ever seen.

Isn't telling 18, 19 year old kids things they want to hear part of recruiting? I'm not saying Rourke won't be the backup and eventual starter and the coaching staff very well might feel he can be, but I do feel Kato will have every opportunity to earn those titles in the off-season by outperforming Rourke. It's not like Kato will be given those titles transferring elsewhere as he hasn't shown anything to this point.
I think there is a real fine art to recruiting where you strike the perfect balance between telling kids what they want to hear while refraining from words and actions that might scare current and future players away.
This is turning into different discussion. . .

Kato would have had to expect Akron would be recruiting a QB this recruiting class. If they didn't, they would be heading into next off-season with only 1 QB on the entire roster. As it stands now Rourke has 1 FBS offer so its not like this guy is some hot shot that Kato has no opportunity of beating out for 2017 back-up or 2018 starter.
Quote"They have a guy coming back next year who will be a senior and they want someone who has played college football before to be the backup," Rourke noted. "They feel like I could come in and push him and compete for the spot, but if not, then I could be the backup and be ready to take over in 2018."
-
Landing this guy would definitely be better than filling the roster with another TE we will never utilize, but I wonder how Kato Nelson and (perhaps more importantly) his family barking into his ear will feel about it?

Well, CMU beats OU last night. So, what does that mean for us?
We get beat a mediocre MAC East team?

Start 4-2 to finish 5-7. Again.

If I make the trip to K-Zoo, I'm gonna have a helluvalot better sign than Zips Golf.
