I was really hoping someone else would step up and not force me to be the one who responds to this. I don't know the age ofK92, but these crude remarks are generally representative of an adolescent mentality. Those of us who have been on this board since it's infancy have worked to maintain some semblance of decency and decorum. A basic rule might be that people don't use language they wouldn't use to their mother. The 'c' word falls way outside what should be expected in discussion that represents the Zipsnation and the University of Akron. I'll leave it there. GoZips!
Point taken & I apologize.
To be accurate, I did use a K, though.

What's going to suddenly change hundreds of thousands of taxpayers minds?
I dunno. Maybe they want to make America great again?

Can we just lay these new arena talks to rest. The University is trying to correct a projected $45 million budget deficit by 2019. Paying for a new arena is counter productive to that. Since day 1 all Kasich has done is cut state funding a crossed the board for pretty much everything. The state certainly isn't going to contribute anything. The city tried and failed miserably. A new basketball arena probably isn't likely for another 20 years when Infocision is nearly (assuming they don't refinance) getting to the point of being paid off.

The Fort Wayne arena is not owned by the University. It is a county building. They play minor league hockey and D-league basketball there as well.

Big dog looks like he had a free buffet in the offseason. He is fat AF
As a fat man, this is highly offensive.
Just kidding. I'm not a wussy.

GoZags, I am a fan, short for fanatic. Sometimes some stream of consciousness thoughts get posted on a fan forum. Like I meant he was an actual vagina. You have to grow some thicker skin, my friend.

If Poke had made that dunk he would have been more Kentucky-esque.

A breakaway dunk after a made shot. No excuse for that to happen.
I screamed something along those lines but it included a lot of profanity.

How can you be totally 100 percent oblivious to the shot clock? 100 percent.

That's funny. It further reminds me just how numerous and ridiculous some of excuses have become.
But lets add this anyway. Spokane Washington is just as large as Akron, so I would assume that they have their share of commuters as well.
I'm not making excuses. You act like there are 26,000 Zips fans too lazy to walk down to the JAR. That is not the case.

Correct. I don't have an equal comparison.
Akron - 26,000 students
Gonzaga - 7,000 students
I don't remember if you were a part of the "students don't have time to go to athletic events in today's era" argument. But if you were, feel free to repeat it again here.
How many of those 26,000 Akron students live on campus? How many of those 7,000 Gonzaga students are Washington Huskies fans? Apples and Oranges, indeed.

That video would get more likes if he was in it wearing his cool Ohio State leather jacket.

Been a "few" years (i.e. 7) since my last "visit" to your place.
FWIW here's a 10 second clip of our 7' 1" 300 lb gazelle beating the entire Washington team down the court last night for the jam (and the "and" 1)

If he had that athleticism with some solid basketball skills, he'd probably be at somewhere more of Kentucky's level right now, and not Akron's.
This made me giggle.

The only really bad seats are the upper level seats at the track level where can't see the floor over the top railing of the glass partition.
If you are not high enough to see over that black line, you will get annoyed quickly.
