  1. Not trying to flame here. Harvey was looked at by PSU, Pitt, and some others. Heck, PSU's starting QB spent a couple of years throwing to Harvey. The questions about him never had to do with talent, but grades. He had some issues getting his academics in order and Akron was the one smart team that stuck by him throughout the entire process.
  2. I just wanted to tell you guys congratulations!! I was REALLY REALLY happy to see Akron pull it out. Good luck the rest of the year. The PSU nation will be pulling for you guys!
  3. I watched the tape this evening, and I didn't see a bunch if cheap plays. The only questionable play when when your o-lineman hog tied Shaw and sprained his ankle. The holding on the long pass play was there. You can see Sean Lee trying to get to Getsy and the Akron o-lineman OBVIOUSLY holding his jersey. The only reason why it was questionable was the fact that holding happens all the time.
  4. Buck,I don't expect PSU to beat tOSU, but I don't know if they'll get "crushed". I think PSU's defense and skill players are good enough to keep them in every game. Plus, Tressell rarely crushes ANYONE. tOSU gets up by double digits and Tressel shuts it down. As for Akron, I was really impressed with #21 on defense. Getsy's arm is solid. As evidenced by his TD pass. That was a PERFECT strike. I'd LOVE to see you guys upset Chuck "The Chest" Amato. That would be the nail in his coffin.
  5. BuckZip,I was sitting in the North Endzone, so I had a pretty good view from behind Getsy for half the game. I think the Zips were trying to test the secondary, but PSU's zone closed down many of the passing lanes. Its so tough to beat a team when they are getting pressure with their front 4 and are dropping 7 guys into a zone. BTW, I was impressed with Akron's speed on defense, your TE, Harvey, and Getsy. I liked that the Akron players shook off the 2004 game and didn't give up. Personally, I think the Zips have a great shot at winning the MAC this season. I think yyour defense is going to blow up some MAC teams, and that the offense will pick it up once some of the receivewrs get more experience. NIP
