  1. thanks for the info. I hear you regarding a good QB; we've struggled to find one since Rivers left and our record reflects that. I felt bad for our senior WR's the last 2 years; all of them were talented but rarely had a good pass thrown their way.Hearing about your TE's worries me; most of our LB's are new starters so I'm not sure how well they can cover if they find themselves matched up on a TE. Our safeties are all very good, so maybe they can help out some, but with a starting corner out they'll probably have their hands full already. Our TE is very good as well, but we need someone who can actually pass to him.looking forward to the game; hope it's injury free for both sides
  2. In all seriousness, I don't know much about Akron's team; how good are your receivers? Word just came out that State's best corner (IMO) will be out for the game with a hamstring injury. Starting Center will be out as well; how's your DL looking this year?
  3. sounds good, guess it was too much to expect that he had any clue about NC State's defense. It will be an easy game since Akron's offense is nothing compared to Appalachian State's
  4. Not here to flame, but I am curious why you think our D is nothing compared to Penn St? We don't have much to go on yet, as we're only one game into the season, and State's only opponent was a DII team that NC State held to 133 total yds (2-14 on 3rd down), 2.3 yds per play and 10 points (all coming from turnovers). Since the game wasn't televised, what makes you think our D isn't good since you have not seen it? If anything, all you can say is no one knows what the D will be like against a quality opponent. If you're going off recent history, NC State's D was ranked 8th last year (Penn St was 12th) and #1 in the nation the year before (Penn St was #10).So why do you think the D can't compare to Penn St; or are you just making a claim with nothing to back it up? I'm not saying Penn St doesn't have a good D, but if anything, ours is an unknown at this point. Our passing offense is what concerns me, not the D.Looking forward to the game Sat.; hope it's a good one
