  1. Ready to lose to the Bobcats aka the 2012-2013
  2. When you lose to the same team in back-to-back years, it counts double.
  3. Agreed. At least 2 loses in MAC play and at least 1 loss in the MAC tournament. Besides Ohio, Akron may very well go undefeated.
  4. Just to make it clear, I wasn't suggesting Akron was recruiting Dambrot's son. I meant that the recruit I mentioned played with his son. Poorly worded on my part. FWIW, Dambrot's son is a good player but probably not a guy who was going to get offers from a Top 10 program.
  5. Any news on who Akron is going after? I heard Riley Grant from Copley who played club ball for Everest along with Keith Dambrot's son on a very highly ranked team. Didn't play for Copley this year, played academy. Very talented player from what I've seen. Anyone else? How many spots? Apologies if there is a thread elsewhere, I couldn't find one.
  6. I'd like to point you to my avatar and signature.
  7. MVP: Zeke Marshall - Defense. Most Improved Player: Demetrius Treadwell - He will run wild next to Zeke Biggest Disappointment: Alex Abreu - Doesn't have the attitude you want from a point guard. MAC Tournament Seed - #2. Behind Ohio. Final Result - Zips advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history via an at-large bid. Bold Prediction - The MAC will win a grand total of 8 Big Dance games via the 2 bids it receives.
  8. Don't you think Akron this year will have a much stronger resume than that year? I do. If Ohio and Akron play like we all think they should, and manage to make the MAC Finals, I really would be shocked if we don't see 2 MAC teams playing in the Big Dance.
  9. With all that both Akron and Ohio return the lack of respect (at the mid-major) ranks is puzzling.
  10. Another issue with Michigan.. This map suggests EMU has fans. Completely unrealistic.
  11. True, the selection committee has a conspiracy against the MAC.
  12. Ohio and Akron could both be the best teams on each others schedules... That is a pretty high compliment for both teams with who each are playing. I really hope that both Akron and Ohio do very well OOC so that matchup is respected... The year of the at-large bid for the MAC.......
  13. Akron is also the favorite in the MAC per ESPN. I will make sure to tell DJ cooper that
  14. Marshall would stomp Akron. That place is harder to play at than Penn State.
  15. Chances are Ohio will not go undefeated. Problem is, we are pretty much favored in every individual game from here out except maybe @Can't...
  16. You're going to need to get used to going against a team with more experience playing together since Ohio returns that entire team.
  17. That is I feel as a Cavs fan when Lebron would run to the hoop and then get a light foul. Put him on his back. The moment I will always remember in Zeke vs DJ is in one of our tourny matchups with maybe 4 seconds before half following an Akron bucket DJ took the ball basket to basket and put it in right around Zeke as the half expired. Zeke is a great player, but at that point I was convinced we had the better great player in DJ.
  18. That would make for some intriguing matchups against Ohio when we essentially have 3 guards on the floor in Cooper, Kellogg, and Offutt.
  19. How many Akron fans can we expect in Athens? 12?
  20. Akron has a lot of problems... The biggest is that Ohio can run AND pass. Another is that upstanding individuals like myself will be in Akron's players heads all game after a nice morning spent enjoying malt beverages at Uptown Athens establishments discussing the finer points of a quality degree in business from a respected institution of higher education.
  21. Where did I say I'm not worried about someone scoring points? I said "hopefully he is able to run this week or Ohio could have another thriller in front of a crazy crowd." I think anyone with a college degree (from a real school) could assume that means I think we will give up some points but also that I feel we can score even more if Tettleton is good to go.
  22. We is the team that beat you in the MAC Championship basketball game last year.
  23. This is homecoming for Ohio, and barring rain this should rank #1 in all-time attendance at Peden with the Bobcats sitting at 6-0 and #26 in the AP Poll. 25,000 isn't unreasonable at all. Ohio has struggled the last 2 weeks with serious injuries on defense and QB Tettleton not being 100%. The defense is going to be hurt for awhile, with serious depth issues in the secondary. Fortunately our offense is probably good enough to outscore most of the MAC by a lot when healthy.. Tettleton hasn't done any designed runs the last 2 weeks, hopefully he is able to run this week or Ohio could have another thriller in front of a crazy crowd.
