    Can't wait until Saturday when the Sounders face Portland before 60K plus at the Clink. Will be up there for the match. Have seen both of Portlands matches. Nagbe is playing great and their defense is awful. Unless they build a new stadium Porters style will be hampered by their tiny field. It was widened by 4 yards but is still like a postage stamp.

    Nice start for Jared and the team. I will be in Columbus for the Sounders vs Crew match on Aug 31 and am hoping the ZIPS home opener will be on Aug 30 so I can be there as well.

    Sometimes it can be a diagnosis of "exclusion". Injury occurs with no obvious abnormalities on diagnostic tests and injury is called a 'bone bruise"; rather than an "I don't know".

    I think the upperclassmen responded quite nicely. Team put on a clinic tonight with Shots 23-1 and SOG 10-0.

    Have never seen either of them play but wonder if Souders was one of those guys who was a top notch youth player who might have a difficult time adjusting to the college game. Only time will tell but hope he does well. Very tough for another player to break into the Akron back 4 as it now stands.

    Will be interesting to see how the upperclassmen who Caleb was disappointed with respond tonight. This team will be a real juggernaut when they are firing on all cylinders.

    Makes sense to have Gallego as a CB rather than on the left.

    Yes they were and they will benefit from the change from Big East to MAC. I still would have left them off in favor of UCLA or Indiana.

    Having watched Quinn play in PDL this summer I have to agree with you. Mystery to me is Derschang. I know the guy comes with all sorts of youth soccer accolades and statistically had a good freshman season with 5 goals and 5 assists. However,last season in 17 games/15 starts he had only one goal and one assist.
