  1. Those of you looking at Dan's record against the BC$ need to look a bit further:"LeFevour long ago cemented his stature with quality performances against bigger programs. In 11 games against BCS opponents, LeFevour has thrown for 2,543 yards, 23 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. He's also rushed for 480 yards and six touchdowns."http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/813349.htmlIf you can call those numbers anything except impressive, I'd like to know what you think impressive is? BTW, in some of those games listed earlier in this thread, Dan did not play (2008 @ Indiana) or did not start (2006 @ Kentucky and vs. BC). As for the Arizona game earlier this season, Dan had an off-night -- and he wasn't alone -- but it's better than the 4-interception performance Ben Roethlisberger had against Iowa at home early in his junior campaign at Miami. Ben recovered and so has Dan.If you don't believe this, maybe you could consider that Mel Kiper lists LeFevour as his 4th-best QB for the 2010 NFL draft. While he's not perfect, I think he's proven to be a pretty fair evaluator of talent. Hope you guys can get things (QB situation, coach) worked out this week. I honestly think Rodgers isn't that bad, though. He just needs to learn to put some touch on the quick outs and work on those happy feet a bit. He already has learned from the Indiana game that there are times to tuck and run or just throw it away.
  2. Nah. We save the special ceremonies for when WMU comes to town.
  3. Just respondiong to comments about CMU and posting an opinion. Not trying to pour salt in an open wound, sorry if I came off that way.
  4. This year's edition of CMU football held AZ to 19 points at their place, despite our offense playing its worst game in two years. It also just beat an MSU team on the road that most predictions have finishing in the middle of the Big Ten or higher. And, for the first time in awhile, CMU dominated a team that it should have dominated. I realize that you played IU right after your team received a big shock, but it seems the shocks are not done coming yet (possible asst coach suspensions?), and this game is not in the friendly confines of your new stadium. With Jacquemain, I think you'd give us a very close game, which is typical when our teams hook up. With Rodgers still finding his way, CMU wins by double digits and may even cover the spread.
  5. If a Chip fan might chime in for a moment? Most of the game, we had heavy pressure on Getsy, and he was rushed on a lot of throws. It helped that we were able to deny the run after the first series or so. Late in the game, when our DL got tired and/or your OL stepped up (some of both, I think), he had all day to throw and seemed to have a laser sight mounted on his helmet. FWIW. Good, exciting game today. I don't think any coach in the MAC will feel safe even up by 21 against the Zips this fall!
  6. This is your 3rd straight road game, and that's tough for any team. This week, our receivers catch the big ones.CMU 38, Akron 27
