  1. I have not been the biggest proponent nor the biggest opponent of Jaq. However, yesterday, he decison making sucked. I hope you all recall that not only did he throw that god awful interception, he also threw 2 passes right into the hands of BG defenders which they politely refused to catch. However, Jaq IMHO, has not done enough to be yank out of the starting spot. If Rogers were to start and fell flat on his face, how do you as ac oach go back to Jaq and instill confidence in him? Jaq is an average QB no better, no less. I just really think that Lee Owens was coaching the team last nite. LOL.

  2. Yes, some of you still have drams of winning the EAST and the MAC and playing i another bowl game. In fact, I was sharing those same dreams until the Lee Owens curse appeared. Now we are 3-4 with 5 to play. We need to go 3-2 just to be Bowl elibigle. I think it is going to be an uphill struggle at best. But, we can dream.

  3. CK: I agree. We sometimes get caught in all of the hyperbole, but the bottom line is it is W for the "Good Guys" and an L for "Can't.Also, my son who lives in Arkansas, was watching and game and boy was he shoocked when it came on. He text me with the following : " They better rule that a TD".Now let's go clip the Falcon's wings.

  4. Akron 34Can't 13We will score either for tds and Igor will come of his slump and kick 2 fg's or 5 tds with Igor missing an extra point. Like the rest of you, I was totally embarassed by our performance in'06. And yes it was fun last year. But being able to retain teh Wagon Wheel while playing at the Hippie Dome would be outstanding. :screwks::screwks::screwks::screwks::screwks:

  5. Just a few other things:I can understand why JD went for the 1st down rather than the FG. First to make a statement and retake the lead. Secondly, I think he has lost confidence in Igor. Remember Igor's first FG was not a thing of beauty. Aknuckleball kick that just got thru and over the cross bars.Although bowser looked better later in the game, he dropped 2 passes in the 1st quarter. The first was for a 1st down, and the second would have been for a TD. I thought Bruce played a good game.We all agreed before the game that we needed a perfect game to win. We didn't get it.Also, there does not seem to much communication on the side line. I was watching the side line a considerable bit of time and there was confusion among the coches as well as the players. All of that being said, we now have to forget about Cincy and concentrate on Can't. If we come with the same determination and grit that we had against Cincy we will win. IMO.

  6. My perspectives on yesterday.1. For those of us that were tailgating, the rained sucked. However, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Big question for next year is where will the tailgating area be?2. Jaq is much is improved over last season. I'm sure it is because he didn't have to looked over his shoulder for another qb to come in during the game and also because it looks as though he really has worked over the pre-season.3. MAC referees stink. There is absolutely no consistently in their calls4. Total disappointment in the number fans in attendance. By game time, most of the rain was already past us. No excuses not to make the game5. Our defense is horrible. Does anyone know when and if Bain will be returning? The 3-3-5 is a gimmick defense. Did the defense ever create any 3 and outs?7. Receivers must catch the ball when it hits their hands. There is no excuse for that!6. Obviously, we were not as good as we thought we were, and Ball St. is a good team.Let's to go West Point and beat Army.Go Zips!

  7. Capt: I would bet the house that the tickets will have 6:00 on them, since season ticket packets will be available for PU tomorrow at the Meet the Team festivities.I would prefer that they do not print the times for any of the games, since they almost always change due to TV coverage.

  8. I'm just reaffirming what UAkronkid stated; The current rebuilding or building new schools project in Akron is at this point as part of the12 year project and the project is approximately 25% complete. Central-Hower is being used as a swing school for the the high schools while a high school is being redone. At this time, East is utilizing the CH complex. Within 18 months to 2 years, Buchtel will be using CH while a new high school is being built on the current Buchtel site on Copley Rd. After that, it is anyones guess as to what school will be occupying CH.Currently the building and land are still owned by APS and they will continue to own it until the building project is complete.
