Don't think you should base what the MAC should do, based on your disappointments. Using this year, the MAC has 2 teams in the WNIT and a future member for 3 teams. The MAC is fine. MAC Buffalo against future member UMass in the second round of the WNIT at 2PM Sunday. ps. You will be our first of our 4 MACtion football games on Nov 4th. There should be very little dip in MACtion games. We'll loss the metro Boston crowd, but there are a lot of locals that will attend.

Was hoping the Michigan Universities could step up and have potential. Do like one of our own is the HC at Central Mich.

Of the three categories of UMass fans, only those identifying as primary Hoop fans had a majority not liking or hating the moved. Now this was on the hoop forum and few football fans voted but those either loved it or liked it. All sports fans overwhelming like the move.

Excited to be playing in the MAC in 2025. We have a lot of freshman and Coach Martin is the real deal. Earning the 4th seed, we get a double bye in Brooklyn.

This is our first conference move in 48 years! Anyhow, still looking forward to the matchups.

Of course I'm thrilled! It's actually about a hour but almost the first 20 minutes was waiting. Talks started in September, they talk about faculty, academics, academic and leadership consortium and our Chancellor jumped in as he was a product of the academic consortium. About building the next department head, deans, chairs, provost etc while Javier Reyes was at Arkansas in the SEC. Seemed very thoughtful, covering athletics, facility, students, campus vision. Not really much rahrahrah. Commissioner Steinbrecher was quietly on campus during a game in November and disappointed did not seem him. The investment in athletics will accelerate with 8 to 10 times the conference revenue growth. As our AD said, we are hitting the gas, no brakes. Frank Martin is a real team player, his wife ran track at UMass, football helps raise all programs and their budgets all went up from his career. Don Brown and Frank Martin had offices next to each other at Northeastern. They both recruit in programs that were at the bottom with no bells and whistles. You recruit players that believe in your vision, the school and not the conference. Looking forward to playing you guys, especially in basketball.

Waiting to see if the MAC brings it back. Realize you guys are happy with the Big East affiliation.

Our exit fee from the A10 to join the MAC is 4 Million with more than 1 years notice. Think we'll be here for a while. Hard to be certain with all the changes, but we value the fit of the MAC and choice you over CUSA. This was a vote on fit, geography and stability as we have been members of the A10 since founding 1976.

Sean East has come a long way, especially after Buggs went down with season ending injury. Chatman, who played for 12 minutes has left the team. Weeks has been out for a while, but is better in ways than his dad. Looks like you guys don't have TV so will probably go out and see the scores later.

This is a winnable game for either team. Yes we have some young talent but imho the coaching staff has some x's and o's issues. We were doing well at home against Virginia with an aggressive trap. Took the Virginia coach 6-7 minutes to adjust and lead to numerous easy buckets. Our coach staff did not adjust during the 8,12,16 and halftime time outs. You could argue they barely adjusted. The other issue that happens over and over is opponents inbounding under their basket and getting easy points. We'd be an average team in the MAC and this game is up for grabs. Be a good sign for either team heading into conference play. A successful year in my eyes is a 500 season and limited use of trapping. More man to man half court defense. Regardless of the out come on the 30th, hope we continue to play in both Football and Basketball.

Nice win for you guys. In just under 4 weeks you get us and really wish I could go, but my backup is on vacation for 2 weeks and a Monday game. We (UMass) are much improved but have lost four straight to Virginia, St. Johns, Rutgers and South Carolina. The last was tonight at home 84 - 80.

It was a pleasure to Mr and Mrs Captain Kangaroo. Did not know who would win going in. You guys can give us some payback on Dec 30th. We are young and found out Buggs is not a true pg but think the other positions are good. Will see and thanks for doing both Basketball and Football. Wish we could do the same with more MAC teams. Football wise we have a good number on the schedule. Hope things improve for you all, especially two years from now after the return game.. Will see if I can make the trip next year. Again if there is no pain, then there is no emotion. In that regard pain is good and things will eventually get better (Got to be optimistic as I've already made friends with the abyss after the SIU game.). You did replace the rubber bowl, just need some good luck.
