  1. yeah i dont see Conf-USA being better than the MAC...i think in a few years as we continue to grow, it will be more evident. Especially UA in general with all of our new facilities...big recruits will start to come.

  7. dude i dont care if rifle shooting is a sport or not...anything that involves shooting something has to be good.but really by definition it is not a sport...but who cares
  8. the true question here is why hasnt someone started a dodgeball club team at akron?if there is one please let me know, but all the schools in the area all have one. I played against OSU's and Cant's team out in Chicago for the Nationals and it was so enjoyable to pound on Can't that i wondered why we wouldnt start a team here so i could do it again.
  9. exactly...plus they lost to Cant State for god's sakethey must suck!
  10. i think poverty has a thing to do with it. But the true reasons are 1) UA is an average sized D1 school. OSU is an exception in size, one of the biggest in the nation.2) Most of the student body are commuters so on nights where there is a game, those students are back at home in the suburbs.3) In respect to football support... the Rubber Bowl, great as it may be, is just too far from campus. Even if there are shuttles to the game from campus, it still isnt the same as having a stadium on campus. With such a stadium the attendance at football games would increase and id be willing to bet that the increased support for football would spill over into other sports as well.
