Well gee, now I can't figure out why they don't sell the place out every night!touché I highly doubt that the University is losing money by ComDoc handing out tickets. I would bet that ComDoc is sponsoring the game tomorrow night, which goes like this:The UA Marketing Department gets a business to sponsor their games, at a cost, and in exchange, they get tickets. The exchange is that the business is basically buying a block of tickets for their empolyees and families in exchange for some advertising or mentions by the PA announcer.That is what they are probably doing. Now hopefully those people use their tickets and show up and bring some noise to the JAR

Can't is going to get big? Not good news.

We all know the JAR will be packed for the Can't State game but on Saturday against Buffalo we all know that won't be the case. Even with our recent struggles, we have a pretty darn good basketball team. This University has 24,000 students and thousands upon thousands of Alumni. You cannot tell me that a conference game late in the season shouldn't bring out 5000+ fans. Now I know people on here are always complaining about the attendance so lets put our money where our mouth is for once. Bring 2 people that normally don't come to games this Saturday. Hell, bring 10 if you can. Have a pregame party at your house and have a few beers and some tailgating food to get in the mood. Give people a reason to want to go. There are TONS of people out there who have some sort of connection to this school, even if it's just knowing YOU the person who goes there. If we all can bring just a few extra people and be loud Saturday night maybe some of the newcomers might catch the fever. Now lets go people, lets get some people in the arena.

1) losing to VCU is an embarrassment...period2) the refs STUNK. If you think otherwise, you didn't watch the game.3) KD's coaching decisions were questionable and disturbing at times.

You don't get money when students sit in those seats. That's why they don't.

HELL YES, who cares about anything other than POUNDING can't and then being absolute assholes about it to them. THAT'S ALL THERE IS IN LIFE.

I'm still in a little shock that people are rooting for Can't period.Do you people forget that they threw bags of urine and rocks at our troops?!They are so anti-American that they would vote for a Clinton TWO times if they could!

Honestly, i thought i was the only person who thought that KD is being outcoached A LOT this year. I'm not Bobby Knight but my God, a few of his moves recently have been more than questionable.

unbelievable...anyone else have any info on this? I'd like to know what went down with these...umm shall we say "Can'tish" actions?

FACEBOOK USERS:I know a lot of you have already added this but go here and add this application. There are forums, polls, and trivia with a leader board and everything. It's all updated daily by me and something you will want to check daily for sure. After you add it you can even "smack" talk friends at other schools by posting ZIPS basketball pictures on their walls. My son and I stopped in at Scorchers on Waterloo Road for lunch yesterday (Super Bowl Sunday) to check it out and get our Nick Goddard "free wings." Had a very nice conversation with Randy, owner of the place. 1986 alum and BIG Zips fan. Does a LOT of the catering if not all of it for the men's basketball program (Dambrot is superstitious and Randy is his guy). Lots of TVs, a bar, plenty of seating, and access to pretty much everything except Time Warner (i.e. when TW picked up the Akron @ Can't game the other night). Has Can't and Akron football helmets on the wall knocking into each other and respective jerseys on either side of them. Also has tosu jersey, missing MEE-chigan jersey ("no-show" at tosu/Michigan football games), Browns, and Steeler jerseys on the wall as well. I realize it's off-campus but keep it in mind if you're looking for an Akron-friendly establishment and a means to get there.Maybe he'd be interested in moving into one of the downtown spots?i believe that's the location that just reopened...doubt they want to move again
