Why is BTN showing the same game on both channels?

What people seen to not understand is that team timeouts are loosely scripted during the game. Sometimes it is PA announcements or the band or the dance team etc. When it seem like the band is coming in right at the whistle, it is because they got the green light to play from whoever controls the game. It also depends on what kind of timeout it is, whether it is "hot" or "cold" sometimes has an impact on what happens during the games. Even though they are loosely scripted they DO change according to the situation. If they were going to blast Zombie Nation, they would have told the band not to play well before the timeout happened. In regard to ends of songs, the band is TOLD to play until the refs whistle out of the dead ball. If all of you people want the crowd to be more effective it cant turn into a blame game. When a chant starts get off your butt and chant even if you are not a student. When the Band plays the fight song or another cheer, actually clap and cheer. Cheer with the cheerleaders and dance team. It isn't rocket science encourage others to stand up around you and eventually people will come around. That is how you build tradition. We all root for the same team. We need to work together instead of blame other groups.

That is a huge loss for them, but they can still compete. I guess with Tecca no news is good news.

The point is at least the band is trying to be vocal. The crowd doesn't seem that into it anymore, especially the student section. If you watch other schools on TV the band and crowd work together and there are cheers that everybody in the stands know. I wish that could happen at Akron.

Not too surprised with Toledo. The can't play defense and their schedule has been pretty weak thus far.

Band was at full strength on Friday. Recruiting is hard because the teams recent lack of success. There is generally a high turnover rate but more so in the last couple of years. Hopefully with the success this season more people will stay. One last thing. What is up with all of the band bashing on ZNO? It is one thing to discuss things you would like to change, but honestly it gets out of hand sometimes. Just remember you will catch more bees with honey.

Still not sold on Toledo after BC's 3 point win at home against Florida Atlantic. It will be interesting to see what Toledo does tonight and what happens against Florida Atlantic next week. They have a ton of games coming up.

Is it so long ago that people forget that we were 4-4 last season with 2 really bad losses? Last year was a good year and I think most people can agree on that. A recent trend has been not who you beat, but who you lose too. Two losses to good teams on the road is not going to destroy a tournament resume. We do however need to get some good wins, and there is still opportunity to get those wins. What I have seen from our team is a lack of teamwork, especially on offense. I think this problem will be fixed with time, but until then we need to beat the teams we are supposed to beat. Hopefully the team can gain some confidence and make some noise in Hawaii.

Honestly Toledo gave up 92 points on 51% shooting to BC. Sure maybe they are not terrible this year, but I for one am not willing to praise them for a win against defense that happened to be worse then theirs. They have not played any other teams yet so lets not rush to judgement.

BC has been pretty terrible in the last couple of years so I would read too much into this win until we are further into the season. If I remember right they only won 9 or 10 games a couple years ago.
