I Guess this would have to be the second dumbest post ever on ZN then because if you want to know if this was an anomaly just look at his stats at a D2 school....

The future for Akron is going to be a nightmare. Bowden must go. How do you recruit any type of offensive players when this is your plan. Receivers won't come because you have a QB who can't throw (poor Jerome Lane - he could be great). Running Backs won't come because you have a terrible QB who has more carries than a highly recruited back (how long before Hundley gets frustrated). So you recruit great defensive guys and lose every game even when they play well because you can't put up any points. Yesterday was disgusting and if this is what the future holds then Akron football will be following the Baseball program. Bowden and Milwee shame on both of you if this is the best you can do. Put all your eggs in the one basket.

So he's our best running back and QB but can't complete a pass....R u kidding me Bowden!!!!!!

This was a GREAT WIN and I hope it will give us the momentum we need moving into the MAC season. I was so proud of the players and coaches for what I consider a PIVOTAL victory in the AKRON football program.... 7 WINS and BoWL BOUND!!!!! GO ZIPS!!!

I almost forgot that the last two Heisman winners were Seniors oops my bad they were both red shirt freshman. Who lead their teams to great seasons. It's not about getting these young men experience for the future, it's about getting your best talent on the field. I'm not saying throw the towel in by any means I still believe we will win 7 games. I am just saying there are some talented young men on this roster that could potentially make us a better football team.

I get home after a terrible loss turn on the TV to see other programs playing true freshman and competing. Clemson gave Florida State (I know Winston was out) all they could handle with a true freshman QB, Vandy gave South Carolina all they could handle with a ton of true freshman starting (just to mention a few). We recruit these highly touted kids why aren't we getting them ready. If we are going to lose games this bad why not get these kids on the field and get them some experience so next year they are that much better. Look at Tennessee, Kentucky these are teams that are rebuilding, put on these games and there are several true freshman playing. These teams are getting ready for the future to be competitive. Does anyone know where the Boxen kid is. I thought he had a great scrimmage and I haven't seen him since. Just a thought, I would love to see some of the kids develop over the four years we have them. Disappointing loss but still believe in the ZIPS!!!!! Seven win season!!!! GO ZIPS!!!!

With all of the news in the NFL with Ray Rice and domestic violence, I am curious to see where Akron and Coach Bowden stand on the domestic violence issue. I know Coach is one to give a second chance but we took in a player who was charged for domestic violence against a girl friend and kicked out of another program. With this becoming a controversial topic where does Akron go from here and what rules are put in place. Image is important when you are recruiting future players/parents. A win against Marshall will be huge for the ZIPS!!!!! 2-1 BABY!!!!!! Go ZIPS!!!!

Today's scrimmage makes me nervous. KP16 did not play, TW13 struggled, very unsure in the pocket and tries to force a lot of passes. If KP16 gets hurt we are in trouble. NH15 didn't look bad and has great field presence. If he were healthy I would feel much better, but he seems to be hampered with an injury and doesn't have much mobility. CK18 looked good, but looks to be learning. They need to rush him along in case of injury to KP16. With NH15 questionable he may need to be called on. TW13 threw 2 interceptions and several passes that were broken up. We didn't mount a drive until the end of the scrimmage and finally TW13 threw a TD pass. Not knocking TW13, just don't think he's the guy. CK18 ended the scrimmage with a TD pass and that's was it for the offense. Hopefully our defense is that good. So far in the two scrimmages they seem to have dominated. Get healthy KP16!!!!!! Go ZIPS!!!!!!

Team looked great today after only a week of camp. Excited to see the finished product. Pohl started out OK but ended the day a little off, Woodson on the other hand did not look good early on but came on strong at the end of the scrimmage. The third QB not sure if it was Hoyer or Kincade the number was 18 (I didn't have a roster), had one series and once settled in looked very good. D looked great and lots of excitement..... GO ZIPS!!!!!!

It doesn't say hat he was given a scholarship? Maybe they offered him a preferred walk on spot, can someone confirm this? The video makes no mention about a scholarship and it says his parents sent TB several emails and there was no mention of Milwee the QB coach being involved. Sounds like an agreement to allow him to walk on. 8 wins and a Bowl Bid!!! GO ZIPS!!!!

I don't disagree, I thought KP16 did a decent job considering it was a Spring game and he was limited on the amount of snaps he took. I thought CK18 was the next best QB. The kid can't know the offense yet, he just arrived on campus in Jan. He seemed very relaxed when he took snaps, it even looked like he checked out of a few plays. He just looks like a QB, I hope he learns the offense in camp and pushes KP16 to make him better. Competition makes everyone better. I also think if NH15 is healthy he can be a threat. Just doesn't look like he is healthy the way he is moving around. 8 wins and a bowl game!!! GoZIPS!!!!
