I wounder if the topic needs to be brought up. Maybe with the lack of a bonafide goal scorer... And a defense that needs time to improve... is there a better option then Pina at GK? I understand that none of the GK on the roster have much experience but what if there is a better shot stopper on the bench?
I mean trimmy10 said it best "one chance, one goal, one loss."
Pina might be great with his feet but if he is 2nd best with his hands... we might need the hands more then a distributor at the moment. If we only give up 2 shots on goal each game and one goes in and we are taking 20 shots a game and only scoring once, it makes you wonder. What if we give up a little with distribution and gain a GK with better shot stopping skills. This might allow the team to relax and get few wins and build confidence.
The biggest take away from this weekend was we aren't going to blow teams out of the water with goals this year. We can possess like the old Akron but we can't score. And, in soccer the long the game goes tied the more the other team thinks they have a shot.
