  1. best guard in the draft? I think that's an exaggeration but he might be the most mobile right now and that's what is helping his stock.
  2. thanks captain. Another big DL is always a good thing
  3. ok so I just got ESPN the Magazine NFL Draft guide and this is what is listed for Alleman:Profile:Andy Alleman 6'3.75" 295 5.10 Rd.4 (Sleeper) <-6th best guard++ Mobility+ Former DT whose stock is soaring. Beats defenders to point of attack with quick first step. Moves well laterally and can reach opponents lined up outside body. Turns the corner when asked to pull. Playes with intensity and awareness. Usually gets good knee-bend in pass set and fends off bull-rushers. Takes decent angles to blocks, flushes ability to adjust to moving targets in space and can make second-level blocks.-- Explosiveness- Plays with narrow base. Lacks ideal lower-body strength and won't drive begger defenders off ball. Struggles holding ground in pass pro when he doesn't keep low center of gravity. Lacks violent punch. Needs to use hands better. Inconsistent footwork.~(Equivalent NFL Player) Logan Mankins, Patriots.=63 (60-69 means gives solid effort every week but is overmatched by elite competition)Also:2nd best guard in agility after Ben Grubbs3rd best in run-blocking after Beekman and Grubbs124th best player in draftKiper's pick to run a play behind on 3rd and 3 (tie w/ Beekman)
  4. si.com:BIOGRAPHY: Former Pittsburgh transfer who began his college career at defensive end. Two-year starter at offensive guard.POSITIVES: Strong, dominant interior blocker with a good amount of upside. Quick off the snap, immediately gets into blocks and holds the point of attack. Stays square, blocks with a wide base and bends his knees. Jolts opponents with good hand punch.NEGATIVES: Lacks lateral blocking range. Must improve his balance and learn to consistently finish blocks.ANALYSIS: Continually improving his game, Alleman has made terrific strides the past two years. Has the ability to add bulk and strength to his frame, and could develop into a starter at the next level.PROJECTION: Early Third Round
  5. Is there a reason for the 1 star rating of scouts.com if he has been this impressive?
  6. i agree with the previous 2 posts but i wanted to know: Is Brandon Anderson really a better corner than Reggie?
  7. the best part is when you see the picture of a guy holding up a sign that says "JJ is Redickulous" and a guy right next to him holds up the sign that says "ly gay"
  8. It's a shame he has to sit out b/c he seems like the obvious choice for a starter right now. can't wait for oh eight!
  9. better yet, go to Miami, Fla.
  10. I would greatly support a 2 RB formation with Kennedy and Allen as the starters as it worked extremely well in Arkansas with McFadden and Felix Jones. With 2 good RBs, the defense would be open for more deep passes to Arthur and Harvey. Just a thought.
  11. that was some pretty uncanny vision for a junior in HS and the speed was impressive as well. I hope your son makes the right choice in his decision.
  12. where's Alex Allen?
  13. did the officiating improve any?
  14. yeah it really does resemble a basketball net with the feet like that
  15. I saw some clips of Britt and he looked like a great option QB
  16. woo second round boo seahawks
  17. everyone knows the Zips WR is the strongest position and my suggestion is to have Johnny Long to change to a DB b/c he has potential to start on the defensive side of the ball more than at WR with Harvey and Arthur there. Any way this is a possibility?
  18. i've heard Cowles Stewart was real good and a teammate of Almondo Sewell. Plus DT is one of the weakest positions for the team this year so i expect to see him soon.
  19. if anyone would like to submit a scouting report online for either Getsy of Alleman, they can submit it here for all to see.I would love to do one myself but I have only seen them play one game on the very rainy Saturday afternoon in Happy Valley...so if someone would like to submit one it could really gain some attention towards the Zips and a little exposure towards UA.GO Zips!
  20. the streak still continues. Here's what has been happening
  21. let's hope your prediction is right again
  22. 33-19 at the half K.e.n.t.
  23. is there any word on how Getsy did on Pro day?
  24. Where have you been all season? The Zips beat Can't State TWICEand a 25-6 record is nothing to sneeze at
