Here's what I don't get. Why is there no mention and no reprecussions simply due to the fact that he is under age? We all know that drinking and driving is illegal - but he is under age and that is soooo illegal too!!! There should be two separate charges IMO.

I totally agree, but I've said this before. Mack Rhoades is no Laing Kennedy. Laing has shown in the past (last year specifically) that he will do whatever it takes (contract, salary, etc) to maintain a good goach. (Christian came VERY close to leaving Can't State last year until Laing "sweetened" the deal for him to stay at Can't). UA has KD by the tail - they know that this is where he WANTS to be...so why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.

Hey Mootard, How can you possible say that Dambrot did not handle himself well? Given the situation and at the heat of the moment - I was frankly impressed how he handled the situation. Can you imagine if it was Bowling Green vs Akron when Hipsher was here? I can see it clearly now...Hipsher and Dakich just going absolute nuts, chairs flying, voices screaming.....The guy truly cares about the kids on his team. Put yourself in their shoes. They just had their hearts and dreams ripped out. Give the guy a break.

I guarantee this won't happen. UA is too smart. They have KD by the behind. KD's biggest mistake is letting our community know that this is his dream job and that his long-term goal is to stay in Akron. Why in the world would they pay him more money when they can get him for cheap???

I think KD will always have a bullseye on his back. Other than from the people of Akron, I don't think KD gets the accolades that he deserves. Look what he accomplished during his 3 amazing years at St. V. Not once did he get named Coach of the Year. He is way past due.

Well, if I had to guess....... it may not be over JUST YET. The Cavs are off on Saturday, so LBJ may be at the Zips game. If I was betting man, I'd say that he will be there to support Dru and Romeo.
