jstoudemire
Who leads the team in receiving yards?Who lead the team in the opener vs. Wisconsin (now ranked 8) in receiving yards a could of easily broke 130 yds? (overthrown)Who is the only receiver on the roster that hasnt had 1 downside to his game since the season started? Why do we have to wait until the 3rd quarter of an important MAC game to decide to throw the ball to (in my opinion) the most consistent receiver out there? Nothing against any of the other receivers, from what I have seen this is a special (nohomo) core of receivers...but does no one else see the try brightspot in this group? The difference this receiver and the rest is his intensity and aggressiveness when it comes to the gridiron. i hope that the second half of Ball State will be an indication to whom should be getting the rock to make good things happen....especially with Allen possibly being out for a while....we need another automatic weapon and that weapon is posted at the X position.Ive watched Arthur tape and Bowser tape.....theres no reason bowser shouldnt stand next to Arthur as one of the great receivers to represent the Zips. johnnyzip84
I agree that the "go to" player in this crop of receivers is Bowser, BUT the things that makes this group so much better than last years is the threat that each of them MIGHT get the ball at any time. So while I would like to see #1 see a few more passes his way (especially a deep ball on occasion so he can use his overall athletic ability), I still want Jack to spread it around much like he has. jstoudemire
Yeah I agree on the part about the fade route.....I should upload his whole highlight tape so u guys can see what happens when the fade is thrown.Your completely right about the threats.....it would be miserable if the others were trash....guess iwas juss being a tad biased......LOL. Blue & Gold
Bowser's the man! There is no doubt about that! But this group of 4 WR's (Bowser, Bruce, Jones & D.Miller) are the best "stable" of wideouts I can ever remember suiting up for the ol' Zippers. I don't know, some old timers may remember a better WR crew, but I sure can't & I started watching Zips football closely during Lee Owen's first season (whatever year that was; 1993 maybe?) Dr Z
Bowser is a nice addition to our offense. See 4b
skip-zip
Johnnyzip is right. You have to throw to whoever is open on any given play. And that's probably best since the opposing defense has to cover everyone. But, I do believe that Bowser has serious talent, and might turn into the star of the group. There were a few standouts (Willie Davis and Pat Snow under Dennison, and Kenny Chapman under Faust are a few who come to mind), but I can't recall a deep and talented "corps" of receivers prior to Owens. Under LO, the trio of Irvin, Cherry, and Sparks are certainly notable, but (even considering the "drops" against Ball St.!) I'll still take this year's group if given the choice.
