Captain Kangaroo
Click here for directions and a crappy mapThis lot gets rocking pretty good. The area along the fence fills up first. Grills and beer are welcome and encouraged. One note: Our students are notorious for stealing anything you leave out during the game. It is embarrassing as hell, but year in year out for over a decade stuff gets stolen. Pack up your grills and tents prior to kickoff. Also - remove any team flags from your windows. Kids LOVE to snap those off. If you pack all your stuff away during the game, you're fine. Post game tailgating usually ensues for a couple hours if you're into that. johnnyzip84
Congrats on your "Junior Zippy" status, subflea! I'd say the vast majority of visitors are stuck at the infamous "Little Joey" level Here's to a great game and a fun time for all I'd join in on the tailgating, but a few of us are participating in the Akron Roadrunner Marathon (relay) in the morning, so I'll be fortunate to drag my bones to the bowl in time for the 3:30 kick-off. Regardless of the outcome, I hope you guys take full advantage of what looks to be a nice opportunity to, at the very least, contend in the Big East this year. As we (the Zips) learned in 2005, you need to grab these opportunities that arise in a conference race no matter how "fluky" or "unusual" they may seem. IMHO, the Big East is ripe for the picking this year.

IMHO, the Big East is ripe for the picking this year. Thanks, I usually visit the opposing team's board prior to a game. You should see my post count on the Oklahoma board. I was well over 100 on there. We were planning on being in the Big East race regardless this year. The other teams struggling certainly gives us a lot more hope. We have a pretty good chance since USF, who plays pretty bad in the cold, comes to Nippert on a short week in late October while we have a bye the previous week. WVU still worries me. They have a lot of talent and even with their current problems, they have the capability to win the conference. We have Pitt and Louisville on the road, and we have not beat either since we joined the Big East, so I am hoping to break that streak. A trip to a BCS bowl in January would be very nice.BTW, I won't be tailgating either. I am stationed at the submarine base in CT and have already used a road trip this year for the Oklahoma game. The only other game I will be at is when we travel to UConn. I may also make a bowl game depending on where it is.

ZippyRulz
Yeah, I don't know what the big deal is...if you go in thru the home side gate you just have to walk the width of the field to get to the visitor side and you get a closeup view of the players warming up. But they should park where their peeps are setting up for tailgating by all means. I must say I've always liked going in at the top of the stadium on the east side for the view. I wonder if the RB is the only stadium with entrances both at the top and at playing field level.Skin the Bcats !!
