True it PROBABLY doesn't affect JD's job security (no matter what any of us may or may not desire, and I'll be the 1st to admit even THAT can change from day to day), but I'd sure like to finish 6-6 this season. I know we've had plenty of missed opportunities, but a win here would take SOME of the sting off (at least for me). It will be difficult, however, because Temple has just as many athletes or more than OU. And we've seen what Mr DiMichele can do against us before. Temple is listed as a 2.5 to 3 point favorite.USA Today Link Quote

I'm a little worried though that the defense will fail to show up again and that will just accentuate my bitterness toward the coaching staff. Being used to sports suffering I'll listen to the game, post here and root for the Zips even if they lose, but it will surely make me feel better about JD & Co., moving into InfoSumma next year, if they can put a spanking on the Owls this weekend.GO ZIPS!SeeTeeZip Quote

Good question. The only reason is that I spotted a rather humorous gaffe in the home delivered version (corrected in the on-line at some point). In the photo of a flush player catching a pass over Graham, the caption in the paper copy reads "Two lines of cutline go in this spot here". Wow.Linkps. I sure hope the Zips paid more attention to detail in practice this week than Rich Desrosiers or Ron Ledgard or their underlings did yesterday.pss. I REALLY hope we blitz DiMichele some today. Go for broke Fleming. Set the tone early so the defense can get off of its heels for once. Quote

Also, JD played chicken on the 4th and 1 call to kick the FG. He was influenced too much by Gulden's unsuccessful decision to go for on 4th down earlier. There's a BIG difference between going for it on 4th and 2 at home with a 3 point lead as opposed to going for it on 4th and 1 on the road and down by 3. When you play "not to lose" you usually lose. Who said earlier this year that Stec was a great punter? He's terrible! Williams tries to pick up a blocked FG, only to lose it right back to Temple??!! Hello. Leon Lett? One blocked and one missed FG??!! Special teams are not a strength of this team. Thank God it's over! Quote
tbozeglav Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 i cannot help but shake my head at the meltdown of this team... we were doing well coming into these last games and were proving the critics wrong and what do we do? we drop the last 2 winnable games and now the critics have every reason to say we are a flop.I think JD and his coaches are on the hotseat now... he won't get fired, but I think its time the AD lit a fire under his a$$ Quote
