ZipsNation / ZipsLive Partnership

Recommended Posts

ZipsNation was approached by the producer of ZipsLive - the weekly UA Coach's Radio Show - to assist in generating "Ask the Coach" questions. In exchange for using our forum to generate some questions, the segment will be "Sponsored by ZipsNation.org," which is great! The User Name "ZipsLive" will post a weekly thread where your questions should be listed. Important - PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO QUESTIONS WITHIN THE THREAD. The thread is strictly a list of questions for the coaches. ZipsLive will identify the guest coaches prior to their appearance each week.I think this is a great opportunity for fans to gain insight to the all UA athletics programs. I urge everyone to participate. You can be as "direct" in your questions as you like (you are not relegated to tossing the coaches "softballs") but please keep it classy. After question is read, you'd like the staff to think we're a bunch of passionate and knowledgeable fans (which we are). If you have any questions on this topic for the ZipsNation moderators, please send them my attention (PM Captain Kangaroo). Or you can list them here.I know this will be a great partnership once things get rolling. Represent, ZipsNation! Thanks,CK

Sounds great, Cap'n! Any idea when this will begin?
Just sent it off to the moderators just now! Please remember that I've got a responsibility to the coaches to be respectful, so I'll have to have some restraint during the segment on the radio. Nevertheless, it's an exciting partnership that I hope you all will come to enjoy. Not many schools can say that they have this much creative control and impact on its coaches show. Thank you to the moderators of this board and the fans for being so willing to participate. All the best, Rob GidelPlay-by-Play, HostAkron ISP Sports NetworkWomen's Basketball v. That is excellent news. Hopefully another way to let the media know that we want real Zips coverage. (it has been getting better, nice article on Conyers today in the Beacon.)
I think that the only "real" coverage that we're missing is mentions on the local TV news channels. The Beacon Journal has really stepped up this year, although they still resort to their usual shenanigans every so often. I couldn't ask for much more from ISP, either. Getting the football games on a major FM station was beyond any expectations that I had, and this announcement is even more wonderful news from them.

Is there going to be a way to download or listen to the broadcast after it happens for those of us who may not be able to listen to the actual broadcast?Either way this should be a really fun way for those of us here to get some answers to questions we've had for a long time.
