WMU senior David Kool complimented the Zips progress this season.http://www.mlive.com/broncos/index.ssf/200...lineup_aft.html

They've beat us up here pretty good twice," Kool said, referring to the 33-point loss here in 2007, the only other time he'll visit Akron during his career. " ... I don't think I'm personally going to miss it.""Everything, we threw at them," said Kool, who led WMU with 23 points, including four 3-pointers. "We tried different things off ball screens, just different things period. And everything they threw up was going in."
Led by forward Brett McKnight's 19 points (8 of 9 field goals) off the bench, Akron's top three inside players -- all skilled and standing between 6-6 and 6-8 and more than 225 pounds -- tallied 44 points. Lowe, Drews, Whitfield, Conteh and Martelle McLemore combined for 14.

Kool has a nice game, so it's good to see him complimenting UA. It'll be interesting to see if Western gets it going with their starting center back. Even though the Zips gave it to them yesterday, I feel the Broncos have quite a bit of skill and size out there. KD thinks they can probably still win the West and I tend to agree. They might not be such a great draw for anyone in the MAC tourney.

Is there any question WMU is way better than CMU? The difference was clear, yet the Zips took it to both teams hard. The Zips could be really good .. or the conference could be really bad .. truth lies in the middle?
