g-mann17
At least Gaffney realizes we aren't "veterans".

Find 14 or 15 guys .. get some blue & gold kilts made up, with T-Shirts with each name & number. For the ones that need modifying .. add an " O' " and for others a "Mc" .. and then stake a claim to the front row on the North end.Kindof like the Roddy Piper getup .. but with the right colors. You'd surely get mentioned in Rasor's blog. That alone would be worth the $10-15 to slam the thing together. This would be good for at LEAST the next 3 years .. so do it right, and it can be milked. It could be a fixture at the JAR for a few seasons. The real coup might then be convincing Willie to substitute some Dropkick Murphy's in the pregame lineup (I won't go so far as suggest it replace / alternate with Enter Sandman .. yet).Seems like a good idea to me.gO'Zips! Zip Watcher
Gotta think "Celtic" here .. include English / Irish / Scottish / Welsh / Manx .. etc.The Irish didn't generally do the tartan / kilt thing .. and Mc is Irish .. not scottish .. so you gotta take some creative license .. that should be ok? I was just trying to be funny so.... of course artistic license is in play.LOL I mean all you gotta do is look at the guys to know we aren't talking about actual heritage, just name-play... but what american isn't a mutt anyway. But I always thought Macs were scottish and O's were irish. That must be some stereotype I misunderstood. That whole celtic thing is what I was getting at. Hence the bagpipes

skip-zip
Why not just get Rowdy Roddy Piper to come here for a game himself? His appearance fee probably isn't very much these days. If he's still around. We paid that gymnast to come here to talk to 900 people...so why not get Piper for a guys game? He can be an honorary AK-Rowdy for a night. Give him a shirt, and put him right next to that really big dude with the white sweatband on his head.Regarding Alexander's article....I think maybe some people have a tendency to call a team "veteran" because guys have been around awhile. If you look at guys like Nate, Chris Mc, Jimmy, Mike, and Steve, you see guys who have been in the program for at least 3 years, and have played at least 2 years. But I'm sorry, you can probably get away with "somewhat experienced", but "veteran" to me means a good number of juniors and seniors in the rotation, and we won't have that until next year. As far as who is the best in the MAC....Although Buffalo's record puts them in a pretty healthy position right now, I don't think anyone realistically thinks that they are as widely separated from the field as the record might indicate. All 5 teams in the East will be aiming for them in the last 5 games, and all of them are at least capable of doing it. And although 3 of those 5 games will be at home, they still have some work to do before it's all over. I'm hoping some Rowdies are making that trip up to Buffalo. GOOOOO ZIPSfunny, i mentioned this during the Can't game to a bunch of the North Side Rowdies (where i stand) and noone really got it or liked the idea...hmmmAnd if alot of you havn't noticed, there are only about 9 or 10 regulars who frequent the North side, so i guess ill have to get all of them together on this one.
