Zipmeister Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Last game, the Zips scored one of the 14 free throws they made for the game at the 14:14 mark to go up by 14. Coincidence? I think not. Zips by 14 against the dribblers from Muncie. Quote
zen Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 deball? Is that a court move or a medical procedure?65-59 zipz Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Zips continue to roll, grow, and mature....win 71-51. Quote
skip-zip Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 With the emergence of their freshman center, this could have been a very good team this year if Newell didn't get injured. They will still win several more games this season, but I don't think they are as good as the MAC power rankings indicate.Hopefully now, it's obvious what can happen if you don't come to play, every night, against these MAC West teams. Two of our fellow MAC East competitors have narrowly escaped disaster, and two others have tallied 3 losses against them. Let's NOT be the next victim....but I anticipate that this team will give us the biggest challenge. I'd like a double-digit win, but I'll just take a win. Akron 68BSU 63 Quote
Zip Watcher Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Swiech tallies 4 points, 2 blocks and 2 rebounds.Zips roll 79-56.And tomorrow we can all have a discussion about whether the Harlem Globetrotters were really that good .. or were the Washington Generals just horrible?gO'Zips! johnnyzip84 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 If there is a "trap" game in the midst of this sea of cupcakes, this could be the one. I am expecting a closer game, and one that might test the nerves down the stretch.Zips 64Cards 60 Quote
ZachTheZip Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Akron is a 14-point favorite. The Zips will cover and then some. Quote
GoZips88 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Swiech tallies 4 points, 2 blocks and 2 rebounds. YES! Akron 78Cards 58 Quote
skip-zip Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 The Washington Generals were badder than bad, but I still think they'd be favored against NJIT...but only if the game was not in Jersey. I hear those few hundred people they get at home games can really get on you. Just ask the old OU coach. Quote
Valpo Zip Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Swiech tallies 4 points, 2 blocks and 2 rebounds.I think he'll need to touch more than two balls for that to happen. In other words, he must be on the floor for more than the last 2 garbage minutes. We all saw what Nik did when he got the minutes, i am sure swiech will not disappoint either. Quote
The Hip Zip Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Zips shut down the middle and take Jones out of the game. Good guys 63Bad guys 47 Quote
Dr Z Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 63-55 Zips do not cover. Hmmm, I can't pick out a winner. Johnny Zen and Skip get props. Quote
Zip N' Dots Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Dr. Z you have to throw you're name in the mix for calling the late game scare. Quote
