Interesting Story. These dorms sound very upscale in terms of dorms. I wonder what sort of rent they will be asking for. I also wonder if the location of these new dorms will have any bearing on the location of the new football stadium. A stadium in close proximity to campus housing is very convenient for students. It gives the students little excuse not to support the Zips on a Saturday night when they are not likely studying.

Where will all the underage kids get their beer once the Zip Mart is plowed under!?

Seriously: The place looks awesome. Great to see more and more of those 1920's era rubber worker houses wiped from the face of the earth.

Still awaiting the stadium announcement, Louie.

Hey, I have some great memories in those rubber workers houses.  Parties, Cops, burning furniture, Tear Gas.  Ahhh, the memories.

I'm gonna guess sofa infernos will be frowned upon at the new residence hall :)

This is the way to get rid of the dumpy old Spicertown houses. Build a better alternative, close to campus so the students move away from the junk houses which then lose their value and get bought up by the U. Voila, less eyesores and more space for new stadium & parking/tailgating.
