Z.I.P. Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Ouch. Dale Martin tore his achilles tendon and will be out between 4-to-6 months.GoZips.com on Dale MartinMy knowledge of Achilles injuries is that they often take a year or longer to rehab. That's about how long Brian Ching, a local pro footballer (Houston Dynamo) took to recover from his back about 05. Quote

This is a serious injury that has ended a lot of careers. It takes forever to rehab, and the victim rarely if ever comes back the same. I think it's safe to say Dale can kiss the '09 season goodbye. gozips19 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 you'd have to guess its only a partial tear as the doctors are saying he'd be back in about 4 mths. nothing to base that on (in martin's case) but a full tear and you're looking at a full year. Quote

I was thinking the same thing, gozips19. I can't see how they'd provide an estimated timetable like that otherwise. Reno was pretty excited about having this guy in his "stable". Let's hope that when he does come back it's at as close to 100% as possible. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 Yeah, his injury couldn't possibly be a complete tear; has to be more of a rupture. However, I'm now happy to have DeVoe Torrence @ RB instead of LB! Quote
