Zipmeister
If the Bears have a 60 man travel squad, how many players will they have to leave in Maryland when they come to play the Zips?Thinking ................................................................................... page down to see how close your answer is to my calculationkeep goingI figure 5 guys have to stay home. They have 56 on their 2009 spring roster and recruited a grand total of 9 players for next fall.http://www.morganstatebears.com/news/2009/...0205093608.aspx

michelobdog
Or is this head case going to be the QB when they visit?#1 Carlton JacksonEvent: QuarterbackHeight: 6-2Weight: 200Class: SeniorHometown: Pompano Beach, FLHigh School: Akron/Blanche Ely HSCarlton Jackson transferred to Morgan State from Akron where he saw some action as the starting quarterback for the Zips...As a Sophomore in 2007...He saw action in 8 games and started in three...He finished the season by completing 47-of-95 passes for 583 yards and four touchdowns...He also rushed for 207 yards on 66 carries and scored two touchdowns...Completed 15-for-21 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns against Indiana...Went 14-for-31 for 192 yards and a touchdown against Bowling Green...As a Redshirt Freshman in 2006...Saw action in four games, served as a backup...Only attempted, and completed, one pass on the season, that coming in the Buffalo contest...Also saw action versus North Texas, Miami and Bowling Green...Redshirted in 2005... MDZip
Do you think this guy makes the travel squad?Or Rosey Brown, Len Ford or Willie Lanier (all of whom are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame with Leroy Kelly) - we maybe have a shot with one. Also Chester, Raymond (1970 - 1981) Franks, Elvis (1980 - 1986) Fuqua, John "Frenchy" (1969 - 1976) Meggett, Dave (1989 - 1998) Shiancoe, Vishante (2003 - 2008) for a few other guys you may have heard of. Morgan's NFL player history eclipses Akron in quality and quantity. Not to say that I expect the game to be that close or a Morgan victory, but they do have a pretty impressive history.
