zff Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 A little birdie told me he will be a Zip.Emmanuel LarteyLartey headed to Louisville? By Mike HughesEditor and PublisherPosted Mar 2, 2009 Emmanuel Lartey, a three-star cornerback from College Park (GA) Banneker, recently received a qualifying ACT score. Now, he’s looking for a college that has room for him next season. Is Scout.com’s No. 50 cornerback headed to Louisville? Louisville offered Emmanuel Lartey a scholarship early in the recruiting process, but the talented defensive back signed with Coffeyville (KS) C.C. on national signing day because he didn’t have a qualifying test score at the time. Now with his qualifying ACT score in the books – he received a 22 on his most recent attempt - Lartey is hoping Louisville has room for him next season.“That’s one of the teams we’re waiting to hear from,” Lartey said. “They had offered me before signing day and thought that I was going to make it but I signed with a JUCO team. I signed with Coffeyville – that’s the junior college team Louisville wanted me to go to.”Lartey said his coach contacted Louisville last week. Lartey said Monday that he is still awaiting word from the Cardinals.“I just sent my scores to them (Louisville) and I’m waiting to hear back from them,” Lartey said. “We haven’t contacted any other schools yet because we’re waiting to see what Louisville says. My coach said we’ll probably hear back from them this week.”Akron and South Carolina State are also possibilities, according to Lartey. Quote

ZachTheZip Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 It would be awesome if you are right. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 http://new.kentuckysportsradio.com/?p=14770This was put up on March 3rd. I found that another 3* recruit that we were going after has become eligible: Cornellius Carradine. He's the #18 ranked DE for 2009. If there is an extra scholarship out there, why not use it on this kid? If he doesn't become eligible, it won't hurt because the rest of the class is already set. Quote

I remember posting a topic a while back about this guy. I couldn't believe we though we even had a chance. People on here told me he might come if he runs into problems with academics or something. I guess they were right. He could only help. Quote
