Check the link above out again today.  It looks like the connection with Maple Heights has been firmly established.

Three observations:

1.) Is Maple Heights supposed to the THAT good next year? They sure seem to have a ton of D1 prospects?

2.) Why is the RB that we have "low" interest in one of the few players that we've offered a scholarship?

3.) No Summit or Stark kids yet.

Captain,

1) Not sure about Maple Heights

2) I believe the interest is the player's interest in the school, not vice versa. At this stage in the recruiting game, I'm sure it is just a guess.

Two observations:

First. Can't wait to see this list after Charlie Frye publicity has its full effect. Being drafted by the Browns will have a tremendous effect on Ohio/local recruiting for JD. He'll be be able to talk to kids who wouldn't give Akron the time of day before.

Second. Anyone else as stunned as I am when looking through all the potential 2006 recruits to see very few of these kids list other MAC schools as schools of interest? They list ACC, Big East, Big Ten and SEC schools.

I assume that the information on this site is supplied by the recruit and could be a propaganda designed to bolster their individual positions.

So then the recruit lists his schools of interest and his level of interest in each? Even if that is so, JD is competing with the big boys and an occasional Toledo or Can't State... that's pretty good company...

It's nice to see these kids consider Akron right up there with the bigger names...
