ksu sucks Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 Stevi wins the Hammer ThrowShe's the second Zip to win an individual NCAA championship in the past few months! And both are females! Let's hope we can get our first men's championship this fall with the soccer teams. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted June 12, 2009 Author Report Posted June 12, 2009 Same story, but on ESPN.It's always a good idea to comment on as many stories as possible. Quote
g-mann17 Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 Congrats Stevi. Also best of luck Carrie Kayes who was tied for 1st during the prelim. Trying to find results because the final were starting at 8:30 Quote
ZachTheZip Posted June 13, 2009 Author Report Posted June 13, 2009 Results can be found here:http://www.flushresults.com/2009_Meets/outdoor/NCAA/(fix the URL, the filter messed it up)As of 10:23 the women's pole vault results aren't in yet. Quote
MDZip Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 And as a result of Stevi's points the Akron women currently sit tied for 14th (they were tied for 4th right after she won it). Plus we have two All-Americans with her and Daniel Kinsey. Pretty cool. Winning an NCAA championship is no small thing, congratulations to her. So does Mack get credit for this one? I think not, he announced he was leaving before she won it. Did Houston win any NCAA championships today? Quote

That had us in 12th after 13 events. Quote
zipboy Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 Outstanding job! At least one All American since 1998. Mitchell has done an unbelievable job and with the facilities should only continue to grow the program. Quote
