ZachTheZip Posted August 4, 2009 Author Report Posted August 4, 2009 I Heard a 60-second radio spot today advertising the 3-game ticket packs. Has a voice over of French calling touchdowns. Much higher quality than the "be a part" things we saw before. Also mentioned "sneak peeks" of the stadium on August 23rd and 29th. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted August 10, 2009 Author Report Posted August 10, 2009 I just saw a 30-second TV spot for the stadium on the Discovery Channel. It looked very well done. Much better than this. Quote

I'm over my depth on this - I have no idea how much it costs to produce a commercial or purchase airtime - but GREAT! IMHO we need A MUCH, MUCH STRONGER tv presence. We never receive the free advertising (news coverage) that the Browns, Indians and Cavs do, so we've got to deliberately saturate some popular networks w/ the Zips. Maybe even screw 3, 5, 8 & 19 - I despise all the Cleveland stations. Maybe just go through Discovery, ESPN, the Deuce, etc. Quote

tbozeglav Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Happened to see a commercial for the new stadium while watching the Browns' preseason game tonight. It was very nice to see a TV ad during a time slot such as an NFL game... but the quality of the commercial was very lacking. Seemed kinda cheap, IMO, but I am more than happy just to see a TV ad. Ill gripe about the quality of the commercial once they've become more common. Quote

A lame-o commercial may communicate to people we have a lame-o product? But... tv is uber important. I'm glad for the report of a tv sighting! Quote

I'm glad for the report of a tv sighting! It wasn't a lame-o commercial. it was nice and definitely did its job well, but I somewhat felt it lacked that little extra that gets people excited and makes them pick up the phone to buy tickets. In retrospect, I think it may have been that the commercial didn't have a song accompanying the video that had that "epic" feeling to it.As far as the effect of the commercial... I dont think it will have a negative impact at all. If anything it will help since it aired during prime TV hours (during an Browns game to all of NE Ohio). Some may think like I have and say it was little lacking, but the message and principle of the commercial still were very cleanly laid out. Im hoping someone else in the area had a chance to see it. I also hope someone is able to find/get a copy on youtube to share with everyone. Quote

tbozeglav Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 SWEET!!! I so hope it's buzzing the Info @ every home game, let alone our home opener!I dont see any reason why it wouldnt... not like they have to compete with an airport nearby. Only airspace issue I can think of is the occasional life-flight helicopters that fly over UA heading to the hospitals around the city. Quote
Dr Z Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Driving home from the open house today, route 8 north Infocision Stadium Billboard to the left. Looked nice. Quote
