Next year's schedule

Who are we playing in 2010?I only know of a road game at Indiana and a home game against Syracuse. Playing a game at Kentucky is possible on opening weekend, but I know that Michigan is looking for an opponent on that date to open their newly-renovated concrete slab/stadium. I hope that we can talk them into playing there in 2010 and then at Browns Stadium in 2011 as a home game, like Toledo is doing to OSU this year. I'm willing to bet that it would sell out just because of all the people who would show up to boo the Wolverines. Please make this happen, Hunter, before it's too late. There's also another home game spot open in 2010. Maybe a 1-AA team, or something to that effect.

Take it for what it's worth:http://ncaapalace.com/component/sports/akr...aaf/futureschedRumor has it we are NOT playing Kentucky next year b/c they bailed on us (which would make perfect sense). I find it hard to believe in year 2 of Info we would only be playing 5 home games. Since I realize FCS teams are more likely, I would like to see Villanova, UMass, Delaware or someone similiar.

We're not playing Michigan State. I have no idea where they got that from, but it's not happening.
I'm confused...Why do you ask a question about who we are playing, then say we are not playing some team. Is this some sort of test?
Haha. I'm trying to find out who we're actually playing next year. Michigan State is booked for 2010, and none of the gaems are against Akron.

Checking Michigan State's Schedule they are indeed scheduled to play UA on Sept 4th.

I started this thread in teh hopes that the AD would read it and see about getting us to play Michigan next year. If we're going to play a road money game, why not do it against a team tha can afford to pay us a huge amount of money? Michigan can afford to pay much more than Michigan State or Kentucky, while possibly being less of a challenge. Then there's the hope of playing them at Browns Stadium in a 2-for-one deal or something.Football scheduling needs to be mroe agressive in getting home games against top teams, like the rest of the MAC is doing. There's no excuse now.

Kid,If you want to make a suggestion to teh A.D., why not contact teh athletic department? They have a phone and email. I believe this would give you mroe of a chance of having your opinion heard by the person you say tha you want to hear it. I'm pretty sure if you tell them they should be mroe agressive, they will be.

Because they won't do something like that just because I called and told them they should do it. Not without seeing that it's more popular of an idea than just one crazy fan. Besides, I'm honestly curious who the team will play next year. Michigan is just one suggestion. There are two open spots from what I can tell.

This site also shows Akron at MSU:http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa-10/big-ten...ll-schedule.phpIn addition, no sense in playing games at Browns stadium UNLESS it means we still have 6 at Info (which is highly unlikely to happen). Right now, our focus should be on opponents that will come to Info.NIU got Kansas on a 1/1.Miami got Missourin on a 1/1 (I believe).I think Toledo got a 1 for 1 with Navy (better than Army!).These are the kinds of games we need to focus on. No sense in having home games away from Info for at least the next 3-4 years.
