cms133@uakron.edu Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Any news on the injured D? I thought I remembered hearing Tonga was hurt a while ago but it wasn't serious. And what about Bain???? Quote
Dr Z Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Defense is looking good from what I seen at the last scrimmage but the offense needs some work...That's kind of vague? How about some specifics? Who looked good? What defense were they playing? Who was getting the snaps? The closer the PSU game is the more hungry I am for information. Help. Quote
zff Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Any news on the injured D? I thought I remembered hearing Tonga was hurt a while ago but it wasn't serious. And what about Bain????I saw a few minutes of practice on Friday and Tonga was on the sidelines. Although he did not look hurt to me. Bain was in uniform and working out with the team. This guy is a beast. Hopefully he can will play this season. Quote

Dr Z Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Nice article, I still like to read fans perspectives. That's what ZN is about. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Nice article, I still like to read fans perspectives. That's what ZN is about.I know. I was just kidding. Normally I'm pretty bitter about the ABJ's lack of Zips coverage, so my suggesting a Beacon subscription was purely tongue-in-cheek. Lol.But you're right, that was a pretty good article! Keep 'em coming on a daily basis, ABJ! Quote
UADavid Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 http://www.usatoday.com/sports/recruiting/...nterstitialskipAkron is mixing it up with the big boys as the Zips landed a pair of commitments this week in three-star linebacker Chase Hoobler – who had offers from Boston College, Indiana and Louisville – and defensive back Seth Cunningham, who chose the Zips over Cincinnati, Iowa and North Carolina. RACER Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 i still would like to see andre jones play defense.i think our recievers are fine without jones.even if they would play him 3rd and long would not hurt.everybody is going to say that he is to valueable on offense.that is well and good, but if you can't get the ball back it's hard to score.i think jd has made some bad personell decisions, and this is one of them.if the defense is anything like last year them we are in big trouble.put jones on defense, and he is best open feild tackler.him with bain really would upgrade the run defense.i have seen to many times over the years where teams run the ball, and we have no clue how to stop them.jd is not going to listen to me,but he will be accountable for his decsions at the end of the season.hopefully the defense has improved enough this year, but the first game has me really worried about our defense.
