some campus photography

Hey all,I figured I should show you guys some of my freelance photography I did over the summer after I got my new camera. These were all taken with my Canon Digital Rebel XSi with 18-55mm lens using a tripod. I used a technique called High Dynamic Range Imaging(HDR for short). Basically the technique involves taking multiple pictures at various exposures and combining them into a single photo to get very vivid and crisp photographs. Hope you all enjoy.3698441933_4417e89873_b.jpgPeaceful___HDR_by_midgetman1387.jpgAkron_Night___HDR_by_midgetman1387.jpgand my two personal faves:UA_Rec_Center___HDR_by_midgetman1387.jpgPolymer_Evening___HDR_by_midgetman1387.jpg

... and to think I was impressed with the little ornery UA student taking a leak on the Can't logo!Nice work! HAD to 'Right mouse click, save image as ...' on those! I use a piece of freeware called Wallmaster to change my XP wallpaper every few minutes. Added a few of your pics to the rotation - I hope that's OK.Your Fall assignment is to do the same of The Info! Thank you!

Get a Mac! Awesome photos, thanks for posting. What camera and lens are you using?
Tsk, tsk, Dr. Z! :P

I am glad you guys like them. They are a lot of fun to make. I do not mind you guys using them as background either. In fact, these are obviously resized for online use. If anyone would like hi-res, hi-quality photos (~4288x2855 pixels), send me a PM with your e-mail and which shots you would like :thumb: .I've been told by a couple people to take them to the marketing department to see if they would have any use for them. However, I am a bit shy *edit* I've taken a couple HDRs of the Info already but I would love to get some once the project is completely finished =]IMG_1784_5_6.jpgIMG_1796_7_8.jpg

Milking XP to bypass Vista. Looking forward to 7. :)
Mac computers +1
icon-ubuntu.pngYou should all really look into freeing your computers, your minds, and your wallets from these 1990's era OS limitations.
Well i agree somewhat there. Ubuntu aint a bad choice, surely anything is better than a MAC though. I swear MAC users live in this fantasy world where they think it's alright to overpay for things that do less than others. I'll keep my Windows 7 PC though, i like being able to actually play games.

If playing games is your objective, I agree, buy a PC. If you have actual work to do, and it requires more than a word processor or spread sheet, get a Mac. I work on both and have had to "rebuild" my PC countless times because of countless issues. You get what you pay for.I am constantly helping family and friends with their PC issues.Once again, nice photography. :)

For many years I have wanted PCs to be like toasters. That is, I take it out of the box, I plug it in, it works. A year from now, it works like it did the first day I plugged it in. I don't want to "configure" my PC any more than I want to configure a toaster. Apple Macs may be dumbed down, some may think that they are too focused on fashion and cost too much, but I appreciate that Apple controls its hardware and software "universe" and I know that I'm going to pay extra and likely have fewer options to do as many things as someone with mucho knowledge can accomplish on a Linux or Windows machine. I have Windows machines at home running XP but have used Macs at work for a year now. Having used and loved iPods for years I suspected that I would love the ease and simplicity of Mac machines and I have. My next home machines will be Macs. I know they'll cost more but they'll simply work.STZ

GREAT post. But can the toaster be made to function as a MythTV frontend?
