Zip Watcher Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Don't know if you caught it last night, but J. Taylor was on SportsCenter last night doing the athlete Q&A contest. Did pretty well, but at the end, Scott Van Pelt spoke briefly with him about being a Zip & asked if he was the best Zip ever. JT says: {paraphrasing} Football player, maybe .. there's only 2 of us left in the NFL & I think I'm better than Dwight over in Tampa Bay. Thoughts? Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I would say he wasn't the best Zips football player I ever saw. He would have been if he could have stayed healthy, but he was ALWAYS injured during his Akron years. Obviously he gets the edge regarding his pro career. What happened to Dwight last season? Probably the same thing that happened to the entire TB team in 2003, I guess? Hopefully there are a few more Zips in the NFL in 2004 to give JT a run for his NFL-Zips supremacy title! Quote
Zipsrifle Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Yea, I caught the end of that one. I don't think he did well though, didn't he come in last? Quote
zipboy Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 Dwight had the most impact his senior season than any Zip over the past 10 years, hands down. If it was not for Dwight, we may have ended up 3-8 instead of 6-5 that year. Quote
