gobigblue Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Not a big time follower of the Akron program (a UK fan myself) but I have a question for you diehards. I am playing college fantasy football this year and I drafted Alex Allen late. I have had Dennis Kennedy in the past and always viewed him as one of the most underrated college RB's ever so I decided to stick with the Akron program for my RB needs. My question, what is the deal with the RB situation? I assume Allen is the full time guy if healthy? Or, is there someone else that I should be keeping my eye on.Thanks in advance and go Zips. Quote

Devoe Torrence may end up stealing more and more as the year goes on (at least I think so). Quote
MDZip Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 It appears that Alex Allen is not 100% healthy yet. When he is, he is our best option at RB so his production should increase (hopefully starting this week). Quote
Dr Z Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 How many teams in your league? How many running backs do you start and bench? Just curious as to where you selected him.It doesn't bode well that he didn't start the game for us in Happy Valley, hopefully he does this week, if he does, I think you will be fine.Any other MAC RBs selected? I got Allen in the 16th round. The first MAC RB selected was James Starks in the 2nd round (that owner is not happy), Eugene Jarvis in the 3rd round and then MiQuale Lewis in the 5th round. I had pick 11 and selected Dan LeFevour in the 1st round. The talent from the MAC typically is a huge factor in college fantasy football. It may not have the depth of other leagues but the top talent is fantastic. Thanks for the input. A little bummed to hear that Allen didn't start against Penn St. Was that injury related? I assume DeVoe Torrence got the start?Morgan State seems like a very juicy matchup. Quote

Devoe Torrence did not play. Here's hoping your fantasy team has an awesome week this week (at least from Alex Allen). Quote
Dr Z Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 I think Allen should do well for you this weekend. Quote
ZIPFB#1 Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 I wonder if many of you know that Brian Wagner ,the middle linebacker, is the 6th rank in Ohio high school career rushing yards 6,785 and the 8th ranked in career TD's -97 , in all divisions in the state of ohio Quote
