goodthts Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 If there has been info posted, I have missed it or probably overlooked it knowing myself. Is the soccer game going to be broadcast either on radio or tv? I cannot make it and wanna hear the Rowdies reaction to every goal we get tonight! Quote
UA Fan Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 I know there was at least one (playoff?) soccer game broadcast on the radio with Steve F. before so it has been done. However, 1350 AM appears to have the Aeros game on at 7:05. I guess it's too expensive to produce a broadcast via ZipsZone only w/no advertising(?) IU's website doesn't appear to have any broadcasts either.LiveStats: http://www.gozips.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_...TCLID=204789247 Quote

Z.I.P. Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Am I the only one who has the feeling these two coaches have an agreement among themselves to always play 0-0 draws? Apparently Nanchoff wasn't in on the agreement! No wink, wink from any Nanchoffs. They LOVE beating Indiana. And I think this may be the first time one of them HAS. Quote

Hey Z.I.P. ... stood next to your long-time friend during the second half of the soccer match tonight. He IS making sure the season tickets are being used, enjoyed watching the Zips take down #8 IU, AND had your Zips soccer scarf in hand. I'm sure it will be heading your way tomorrow or early next week. Quote
MDZip Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Outstanding game - tons of energy, great to see a big crowd like that (seemed like more than 2448). Zips had a lot of chances to score but just couldn't quite finish (the Indiana goalie also made a number of very good saves). That worries me a little come tournament time, but the defense was outstanding as usual. I happened to be taping while the goal was scored, I'll try to get it up on YouTube. Funny thing was it was not a great shot compared to all of the others before it, but it was the one that counted. We're still #1. Beat St. Louis on Sunday and lets go for the Indiana sweep today. When we win this afternoon do we get to call Indiana our b####? Quote
MDZip Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 I had promised to get the video of the Zips score against Indiana posted. Here it is. Hope it gives a good feeling of the level of excitement at the game. Quote
