tim123 Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 When can we view the next uncomfortable youtube post from the AD,JD&Caleb talking about the last week to forget?? Quote
ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 You could certainly tell the coaches were uncomfortable in that last video baller. I thought it was kinda funny, but I also very much liked that the new AD carted these guys in front of the cameras to promote their teams and to MARKET the weekend's events. Bravo to him. In D-1 college football, head coaches are handsomely rewarded monetarily, and as $$$ becomes a bigger part of the college game they should understand that part of their job is to SELL the program to the communities around them. JD is certainly much less exposed than coaches at larger programs, the programs he likely aspires to. To JD and Caleb, get used to it guys. Get comfortable. Being cheesy and selling your programs is going to be a big part of your future if you stay in this line of work.GO ZIPS! GO WISTRCILL! SELL, SELL, SELL!BEAT CMU!STZ Quote

SELL, SELL, SELL!BEAT CMU!STZWasn't his salesmanship the component that put Brookhart "over the top" in selling himself to Thomas, Proenza and the committee? Now, he's gone inside his shell. Or more accurately, considering such things as his closed-door practices, he's revealed his true 'fearful of disclosure' side. Let's hope the coaching rumors are nothing more than that. At least that's what I'M saying. I'm sure some on here would like to see the hammer drop on JD now, rather than delay what they see as the inevitable. Like " JD" remarks. Quote
Valpo Zip Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Can we somehow fastforward through football season but not soccer? I would love to see a youtube clip with KD, wistrcill, and Porter. Quote

The big show is in the rings. If I was an athlete (or coach) I would probably resent the hundreds of repeated an unimaginative questions and their canned politically-correct, ra-ra, go-get-em responses that they are trained to give. zip37 Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Having had 'mike fright' I can understand their uncomfort-- AND with a camera there it's alot more intimidating, [i'm speaking from experience, so I understand] . Quote
72 Roo Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Caleb better get used to it. He and the program are high profile whether he likes it or not. I have all the confidence that he will grow in the role. Conversely, JD may find himself less and less in front of the camers. That ain't a good omen for surviving. He must win, bottom line. Quote
