Zipsrifle Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 I'm wondering if the Athletic Dept still organizes bus trips to the away games. I don't plan on going to CMU (been there before), but in my quest to visit every MAC stadium, I do plan on going to Buffalo this year. We used to drive to the games and tailgate, but with 2 little kids, it becomes too much of a hassle! Quote

At least not regular season trips. IMO - this is a very good use of ZipsNation. Mr. and Mrs. Kangaroo, w/8-year old son, will be going to Buffalo, driving up on Friday afternoon. I know of several others making the trip. A pre-game tailgate could be organized by us if you were interested. Quote
xu9697 Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 While I cannot make the Buffalo trip, IF Akron is still in it for the MAC, that BG 5:30 Friday game would be fun! Quote
zips4ever2008 Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 I liked the bus trips when they did them. I went with one of my parents to road games at Purdue, NC State, CMU, Middle Tennessee State, Ohio, Miami OH, Buffalo, BG, etc. Also to Ford Field in Detroit for the MAC Championship game and bowl game. Met some very nice people on those bus trips including some of the parents of the football team. One trip we had Zippy and the cheerleaders on bored. Other than some 5am departures from campus and all nighters on the bus coming back, it was fun. Quote

Zipsrifle Posted September 26, 2009 Author Report Posted September 26, 2009 Well looks like I will have to drive. I will need to talk to Mrs. Rifle to see if we are willing to make it a 2 day affair and bring the tailgating equipment. 2 little ones at home may dictate a long Saturday. Thanks for the invite CK, at a minimum we'll be there for the game. Quote
