Akron Zips vs Syracuse Orange Prediction Thread

I realize that interest in football is waning somewhat, but we can't let a game go by without an official prediction thread.I'm going 'Cuse 31 Zips 27 as I believe Nicely and Torrence will continue to give us hope for the future. But we'll have real problems with Orange WR Mike Williams and local RB Delone Carter will also play well.Also I'm curious if anyone has settled on or found an establishment where they might be headed to watch the game tomorrow. I'm thinking about calling the Geisen Haus in a while to see if they'll carry the game for those of us who are close to the Belden Village area.Edit: The Geisnen Haus has neither Dish Network nor Direct TV. I'm scrambling now. I hate to even say it, but will the Barley House be carrying it? At least the Red and Silver game is at noon.

Barley house does have direct tv and the game, and with the timing of the suckeye game, we decided to head up there. The more, the merrier (and more tvs).

Thanks, Rowdy I will likely be there as well. The Winking Lizard is a NO at this point, and I don't know that we have much of a choice.

Somehow, someway I think the Zips pull this game off. Syracuse is still a bad football team and would be middle of the MAC at best. The Zips are down but I think if they are going to rally some positives this season, this will be the start. I predict:Zips 31Syracuse 21

And here comes STZ to be the bummer of the thread. Syracuse by 10. I hope to see hard play on the lines and continued improvement by Nicely and his receivers. Maybe some good running by Devoe would be good too. STZ
